Welcome Deron Williams

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He's very possibly the worst defender in the entire league. Like worse than Isaiah Thomas bad. I don't think I've ever seen him stay in front of his man.

He's a subpar defender for sur but I'm not even sure he's the worst defensive point guard on the Cavs.

Should probably pay more attention, then.

Edit: Meh, it's comparing bad to really bad. Kyrie may die on screens but there are Centers in this league that could take Deron off the dribble.

I am thinking he is not the best dwill on the team. His playmaking is not good and he can't score. He seems to have single handedly ruined the bench

Coincidental or not, the team's decline pretty much started when he came on board. He missed that last second 3 against the Celtics back in early March and he's really provided no spark whatsoever. I can't think of one game where I said to myself "you know, Deron Williams was a difference-maker tonight." He's been pretty much invisible.

I would rather have mo Williams than this bitch d will.

Deron basically looks like he's sleepwalking out there all the time, and just has no energy. Of course some other guys look pretty damn similar.

It's like he's in chill mode, but he's not LeBron...

To me it got really bad when Bogut went down. That right there sent this mood over the team like he died. No offense to Larry Sanders but the team knew they needed Bogut and were not sure if Sanders would be ready for that role. It is like the team knows they done with out that big man on D. That said know is the time to get Sanders some real burn can not he can not be worse than Frye right now.

This is an important point. You can point to his stats, but he really seems to be very mediocre. I'd take delly yesterday even if his only remaining skill was his timely fouls

Useless signing, dude takes up minutes from guys that can actually help us win. Lue/Griffin are being stubborn right now playing him, just accept it didn't work out and its time to move on. dude is trash.

He single handedly ruined our bench unit that was just destroying teams, fucked up our rotations too, my eyes bleed when I see him playing with next to Kyrie and LeBron, whats mind boggling is that Ty Lue keeps saying is that Deron Williams has been a plus to us and hes been great, really Lue?!

His lackluster play isn't surprising to anyone who watched him play the last 2-3 years. He is what he is at this point. A barely replacement level backup.

I would play Liggins over him at this point.

He's not giving anything special on offense. For all of LeBrons"playmaker" bitching, Deron sure as hell spends a lot of time in the fucking corner. Which is exactly what I expected, because that's what happens when you play with LeBron/Kyrie. Liggins will at least defend hard the entire time on the floor.

I liked the signing, I would have made the same move , but we don't need Deron Williams because all he's good at is running the pick and roll as the primary ball handler and we have two guys that are flat out better than he is at it.

I wouldn't waste any of our MLE on him this summer, I don't care if he gets mad and won't re-sign or whatever. We'll be fine with Liggins. Well actually be way better.
