Welcome Shawn Marion #31

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Bump.

I like Marion's versatility. I am not so sure I like his fit as a starter in this lineup, though. On the plus side, he doesn't need shots to flourish. On the minus side, I am not looking forward to watching him be the open jump shooter on every possession. Interesting experiment.

Marion's role as a starter is to do one thing and one thing only. Play defense.

Although if he's gonna be guarding other team's SGs, he's gonna have his work cut out for him.

Marion is an interesting move; thought we would see Miller actually.

Miller is worse than Marion on defense

Shawn Marion with the incredible D on Rondo on that last play. He couldn't have played it any better.

He got in Rondo's head. He caused Rondo to lose his dribble and it seemed like Rondo was so focused on Marion that he completely forgot about the clock. Awesome play.

First time we saw what they plan to do against a healthy Rose. Alternative Lebron and Love on him.

Marion is amazing he's like the energizer bunny just keeps going and going.

Fascinating who we go with down the stretch. Smaller but physical guys who can get perimeter stops... Marion helping set the tone with joe Harris and lebron, plus Kyrie steals and love rebounds allows us to sneak out of there somehow. Bizarre rotations, but we are getting the wins

Blatt seems very adaptable on what lineup he finishes with from game to game. This was a unique situation, as Boston doesn't really have any guys who are dominant or can overpower down low. I think normally we'll see either AV or TT down the stretch.

Marion is a great fit in the starting lineup... played great D tonight.. hit a 3 and finished around the rim.. this should and will be the lineup all year when the team is healthy

Matrix I envisioned more playing backup to Lebron, but he really seems to play well off of LBJ and the other starters. Smart player on both sides of the floor and he still has a surprising amount of quickness and athleticism for a guy his age.

I'm just glad they started to find some looks for him get him some curls. And someone on the staff realised that either he or Lebron has always got a size advantage and ran a weak side duck in out of horns really well in the first half

Here is a guy who has played the majority of his career and certainly his prime at power forward. I can't be the only one that finds it hilarious that at age 36, he has slid down to shooting guard.
