Why The Browns Should Trade For Tim Tebow

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The best offer Denver could get for there former 1st round pick was a 4th and 7th round pick. Whoever thinks hes good is drinking too much of the Jones Town Koolaid.

yes, but you have to consider that everybody knows that the broncos dont need him and dont want him anymore, or didn't want him ever, so nobody is going to throw firstrounders arround when they know they can get him possibly for an 4th rounder. Also there are few landing spots left and the FO are very carefully on this one, cause tebow is VERY polarizing and brings a whole circus with him, so you dont know how your fanbase is going to react and what consecuences it will have for the team/franchise.
so the offes denver gets in my eyes aren't a legit option to evaluate tebow

Wonder which one he's gonna go with... hmmmm

Jets are so smart.

-Shitty Locker room.....Check
-QB with major confidence issues.....Check
-Just gave mediocre QB with confidence issues 3yrs/$60million w/ $20.5 mill guaranteed.....Check

So let's bring in Tim Tebow, that will be great for Sanchez's confidence after his first INT this upcoming season.

You've got to be kidding me. If Shefter was right earlier, Tebow picked the Jets?

Probably wanted the opportunity to sit back and learn from an elite level QB... Sanchize is one of the best in the business, so this would serve him well moving forward....

When have I ever done this? Find one instance of it and I'll rep you. I'll admit I must have remembered that game wrong, but that wasn't the main point of my argument anyway. It was just a little anecdote about how that play came to happen. Tebow had a good game against the Steelers, one good game doesn't make you a stud, especially when you had a bunch of mediocre games before it.

Kyle Orton got to face the hard part of the schedule and was losing. They make the swap for Tebow and he starts winning. The part that isn't mentioned is he is also throwing the ball less than 15 times a game in a gimmicky offense while playing the dregs of the NFL. I bet if they had stayed with Orton longer, he'd still go on a streak Just because the level of talent they were facing in the upcoming games.

My main point still stands, Tebow beat bad teams and he did it while running a gimmicky spread. He threw the ball like 9 times in those wins (estimated). Not sure why you're getting so defensive about my opinion. I don't like Tebow, I don't think he will be good and I think he is a horrible fit for this team. Nothing to get upset about. You need to not let other people's opinions make you so mad. I remember you got all defensive when I said I didn't like the Sword of Truth.

Not mad, we disagree it's cool. I just don't understand the hate for Tebow. He wins. I can't explain it and neither can you. You pile up evidence which would lead somebody to believe he is a loser but he wins despite all the stats you lay out.

Vince Young did the same thing in 2009 when he took over for Collins and finished the season 8-2. Just because a guy steps in and wins some games doesn't mean he's some great quarterback. Tebow throws a terrible ball and those wins don't negate that.

And there are plenty of QBs who throw the prettiest ball in the world and do nothing but lose.

Would you rather win with an ugly passer, or lose with a pretty one?

Seriously, Tim Tebow is not great, but Tim Tebow wins. I don't understand why people have to go waaaay out of their way, like building up that mediocre Denver defense to be better than it was, to make sure that Tim Tebow gets 0 credit ever. Do not understand it.

I'm not saying he didn't have a good game against the Steelers, but the run game was working for them at the end, which is what opened up the OT touchdown

my other point about who they played is, their winning streak came to an end when they final faced a good team. i don't get how Tebow can carry you to victory when throwing the ball 9 times.

But fine, you guys can put on your Tebow glasses and say that he single handedly led them on a winning streak, even though in general, he sucked.

If he was responsible for some of these amazing feats you guys want to attribute to him, then why is he being traded for mid round picks?

Well that's an easy answer.

1. The team that is trading him just signed Peyton Manning.

2. They would trade him for a bag of dirt simply because John Elway, it what was very obvious, does not like winning with Tim Tebow. It doesn't fit into whatever stereotypical mold a QB must fit into.

Guys, Randy freaking Moss got traded for a SINGLE FOURTH ROUND PICK (and then proceeded to have one of the best seasons a WR has ever had).

Sometimes teams just want to get rid of players for various reasons, whether or not they might be worth more.

I just gave you an example of a mediocre QB taking over the starting job and going on a win streak and I'm sure that it's not the only instance(only one I can think of off the top of my head). Would you be spewing this same "Tim Tebow wins" shit about Young after his 2009 season? Look where Young is now. Riding the pine because he sucks.

Young really fell off the map for good because of his psychological problems. I remember he was suicidal and such.

The broncos were opportunistic as fuck when tebow took over. Other teams were missing chip shot fgs. The defense would be dominant for stretches of certain games. Tebow actually looked like a qb in a couple games.

Is that type of winning sustainable? Is tebow good enough to make the proper adjustments when the league gets a whole off season to figure out that gimmicky offense? Looks like most nfl teams don't think so. Hell be a wildcat qb for the rest of his career.

The Broncos basically made the most of their opportunities unlike a certain team we were following last year that could have probably had 4 more wins if it didn't. But Tebow was a huge reason for their success, I dont see how anyone can argue against that if they actually watched the games.

As for the Vince Young comparrisons. Sorry, but he made Delonte look like stable personality.

If I had to pick between the Jets and the Jags, I think I'd go with the Jets too, the Jags just dont have anything going for them. For now, hes being sold as the backup QB, but they should just get rid of Sanchez now. Part of the Jets problem is that they have a somewhat legitimate QB, and I dont know if they'll be able to co-exist unless they move to a true 2 QB system, but I guess anything is possible. With Sporano on the Jets they really could run a 2 offense offense with Tebow running tte Wildcat/Option and Sanchez running whatever the Jets did last year. It would be a mess for defenses to prepare for, and there would probably be tons of substitution errors and such early on, but it could happen and would be kind of fun to watch.

Yeah, when he was old and a headcase. He then went to a stable environment with a top flight QB and was succesful. If Tebow was that good, why wouldn't Denver just hang on to him? Peyton's old, he won't be around forever. If I had a quy I thought could be the QB of the future, I can't think of a better situation then having him sit behind Manning to learn for a while.
