Wild Card Watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Excited to see Salazar in the one game setting on National TV (I assume?). Rays aren't going to know what hit em.

And by exited to see, I mean I'll be at work, listening to the radio in the stockroom and not actually doing anything.

I still don't know which team I'd rather face. Prefer Rays offense. But Rangers pitching.

Anyway. Game is only one of the night. Followed by Browns TNF in First Energy and then HOPEFULLY ALDS Friday and Saturday.

Wait... Did they do away with the 2-3 format?

EDIT: They did. Never saw that. Dumb format anyway.

EDIT SQUARED: Totally forgot it was a one year ordeal because of a tight schedule and needing to fit in the WC games and adjust for travel days.

Big avatar battle tonight... Dallas native Owen Wilson vs. Tampa Bay native(s) Nick and Aaron Carter

Haha now that they would've won it outright, I agree.

Two weeks ago I was all about the 2nd wild card. Now I hate it.

Oh, they will know, there is enough video out no at least have a clue about Salazar. Danny will look great for a whole 4-5 innings and then (rightfully) get pulled at the first sign of trouble. The bullpen is going to make or break this game bc it is going to be close in my opinion.

It's only a matter of time before it goes away. It should have never been created as a one game play in game. Wednesday will be fun but I still don't see it as they made the playoffs. (Not to take anything away from what they did this year)

What do you think will happen to it?
I don't think they'll get rid of it altogether, and a Wildcard series isn't feasible.

Remember men, It's not the best team that makes/wins the World Series...

....It's the hottest team (win 10 consecutive and 12 of 14)

I wouldn't mind seeing the Wild Card round as a three game playoff, personally. I'm sure a lot of people would disagree but a one game playoff doesn't really feel like part of the postseason to me.

Almost logistically impossible.

You can't have a division winner taking a week off while we determine who wins the Wild Card. You have to factor in at least two days for the possibility of a three or four-way tie amongst WC contenders or division winners. The a travel day somewhere in that three-game set.

I honestly don't know but I imagine in 5 years everyone will despise it as teams that should be in ti start to lose. I would think they will go to a 6 team playoff though or they figure out a way to make a 3 game series possible.
