Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Also, I know for a fact that Lebron had made the decision before the end of June.

I know someone involved with Lebron's business and his particular function requires that he have information on Lebron's living arrangements well in advance. Can't say any more.

There's no way LBJ could have kept this from Wade.
If my sole job was to be in charge or have exact knowledge of LeBron's living arrangements in the future, why would I tell or mention any of it to anyone, including my very best friend or even my spouse/family? I wouldn't be risking that kind of great job for anyone. If you did indeed get information from someone you know who has that exact job, they really and truly told you this secret information? Really?

It's not his only job, and he's a trust fund baby. And his job isn't keeping track of his living arrangements. As I said, knowing Lebron's living arrangements and so on is essential to the function he performs.

I can't say any more without giving it away. I went into detail in another section of RCF last summer before the letter...

There were 2 or 3 posters AFAIK who had knowledge about LeBron's living arrangements and his moving back to Cleveland/Akron.

Pretty sure I remember @Damien O'Connel being one of them.

Kyrie is leaving Cleveland, Kyrie isn't resigning,LBJ and Kyrie don't like each other,LeBron isn't coming to Cleveland,Cavs are seen as a joke, and Timo is just a role player not a top 10 C or a guy that will have a major impact...all gems that Windy has blurted out on air over the last 1-2 years.. he is a fucking hack

I would say that from primarily a lurkers perspective (457 posts in 7 years but read everyday without fail) the board is still pretty split on Windy. Personally, I think he's a pretentious prick. I didn't even like him first time around. Everyone knows or sees that person that the first time they hear them speak, they just don't like them. That's Windy for me.

Kind of OT because I can't figure out for the life of me how to use the search feature, but there is only one Cleveland sports analyst that I despise worse and that's BRUCE HOOLEY. His show is on at 5 on ESPN850 (For anyone who doesn't know) and that's what I try to listen to on my way home from work. In my decades and decades of watching sports and listening to sports radio have i ever heard a more snarky, condescending, negative, behind-the-times DOUCHEBAG as him. He is such a piece of shit. There could be 20 great things happening in Cleveland and SOMEHOW, he will figure out a way to find some garbage to talk about. The guy is such a prick that when people call in with differing opinions than him, he will mock them on air, usually hang up on them and make some sort of comment about their lack of sports knowledge. It blows my mind how this guy still has a job.
[/endrant]

I honestly don't agree on Hooley, at all. And this is coming from someone who only just started listening to him about 4-5 months ago because I absolutely couldn't stand him previously.

He's one of the only Cleveland radio guys that will talk NBA hoops, first of all. And second of all he's been pretty positive about the Cavs. I love how he refuses to talk about Manziel right now. Everybody else on the airwaves should take note.

replace Hooley with Fedor, Booms, Bull, Goldhammer, Roda, Reghi, Brinda, Triv, etc and you have the state of Cleveland sports talk radio.

It's insane. It's absolutely insane that we have the best player on planet earth, the best basketball team this town has ever had; and this is the media coverage we get.

That's a joke, there's too much talent out there, I listen to rogue 3rd party hoops podcasts that are more intelligent and informative than any of the crap these fools (who are paid) spew and report.

If Booms and Bull were on a show together, I'd probably kill myself.

Bob Finnan has it right, he's not part of anyone's clique, he's wearing a jean jacket into the presser and lobbing up some softball questions so he can fill his columns. He's not getting fired over some controversy.

He's not interested in the gossip, he's not riding LeBron's pubes into the sunset (like Windy).

Goldhammer, Roda, Reghi, Brinda, Triv I don't even listen to any of those fools; refuse to even let that funnel into my skull.

We need a Chris Parker/Dave Blatt radio show. Have Lloyd cover the beat, McMenamin write some columns, and we could be slightly onto something.

Fire Vardon.

Under all circumstances, fire Vardon. He is THE worst. Why don't you ask him a 5 part question next time?

Here's my thing: reporters w/ axes to grind against anybody- whether I happen to hate the person they have their axe pointed towards or not- end up sounding like a bitter ex-boyfriend/girlfriend more than anything else, and their work is invalidated in my eyes.

Windy doesn't have alot of credibility in my eyes simply because he does have an axe to grind based on those who he thinks have apparently in his eyes have done him wrong (The Cavs/LeBron/Riley etc) by drying up his sources and/or stonewalling him, so that he has to invent scenarios and convos that he has no way of knowing has happened, like the whole LeBron/Wade thing in Vegas. He doesn't know.

Windy's whole career has been based on having those sources feeding him info; now that they've dried up, the axe grinding/gossip mongering is his calling card. If anything has been exposed since the years of him covering the Cavs for the Beacon Journal and later the PD, it's been this.

He gets alot of crap (and admittedly, I'm ragged on him at times) for being blase in his reporting, but I'll take him over everybody but Lloyd, Haynes, and Chris Parker for exactly those reasons. What you see is what you get from him; no agenda, no axes to grind.

Windy use to be a god send of a beat writer, i swear his stuff was great before ESPN turned him into a character. Now his recent claims, remarks, whatever made him into a clown. It doesn't surprise me with ESPN being a circus and all.

I still remember a long time ago when Windy picked Washington or Detroit (I forget) over us in our 1st berth, LeBron was pretty mad about people in our own backyard going against us. :chuckle:

Hey Windy --- 4.24.15
http://stationcaster.com/stations/w..._Brian_Windhorst___Jason_Gibbs-1429881489.mp3

01. Cavs were never in danger of losing Game 3.

02. Celtics tried to get physical with LeBron. It didn't work.

03. Kevin Love really had the kind of game he was acquired to have last night.

04. Love has taken the most free throws of any Cav in the Boston series.

05. Love shot fewer free throws than normal in the regular season because he was playing on the perimeter.

06. Love has made a point to play inside and be aggressive in the postseason. So his free throw attempts are up.

07. Celtics gameplan in Game 3 was to slow down Kyrie. So Love was left open. That's why you have a Big 3.

08. I think Boston will play hard in Game 4.

09. I would not mind if the Cavs lose Game 4, so they have to deal with some adversity so they can grow.

10. Cavs will face adversity in these playoffs. Likely in the next series. So would be happy if it happened now so they can grow from it now.

11. I want to see how the Cavs deal with some pressure.

12. I have liked some of the moves the Cavs have made in the series (praising Blatt, it sounds like).

13. Cavs planned to slow down Isaiah Thomas last night. And kept him off the free throw line.

14. With Thomas, Cavs "saw a leak and they plugged it." Good to see adjustments being made well by the Cavs in the playoffs. That is key.

15. Series was over when LeBron hit the long bank shot last night just as Boston trying to make its run and comeback.

16. I like that Mozgov stuck his nose in when Kyrie was fouled hard early.

17. I like that the Cavs protected the rim last night.

18. Cavs were highly competitive in mood last night.

19. LeBron looks great. Moving well.

20. LeBron still hasn't had a "great game" for him yet. Last night was like an "8" out of "10" for LeBron.

21. Caller: Is LeBron playing too many minutes now?

22. Windy: This is why he was saved during the regular season. Rested for it. And winning Game 3 was key. LeBron not seem fatigued last night at all. You don't want to play him a full 24 minutes in second half though.

23. Windy: I would like to see Mozgov play a few more minutes in games. He is intimidating and has caused Boston problems. But overall I have no problems with the Cavs minutes distribution.

24. [FIRST SHOW BREAK]

25. Caller: Talk about Tristan, JR Smith.

26. Windy: Celtics have practice arena separate from playing arena. So can go earlier (I think he said) to practice. Have to go through a bunch of security measures.

27. Windy: JR Smith was pro active to get his shooting done. Good sign.

28. Windy: JR Smith extra practice worked.

29. Windy: Some in Cavs organization wanted nothing to do with Smith. But he's come a long way, doing great.

30. Windy: Tristan is making himself some money (playing well).

31. Host: Tristan may be 4th best player on the Cavs now (over Mozgov), some days he's 3rd best (over Love).

32. Windy: I'm in DC covering Washington vs Raptors. Valanciunas is a non factor for Raptors.

33. Maybe Valanciunas is better straight up than Tristan, but Tristan has huge effect on playoff games and Valanciunas has little.

34. Teams will have to start game planning for Tristan. He is on the scouting report now.

35. It's much better to have Tristan as your fourth best player rather than your second best player. He looks much better coming off the best.

36. Cavs made a mistake not giving Tristan his contract last year. Teams will go after him this summer. I know one team that will do so (he won't say who).

37. Salary Cap will increase by 50% over the next 3 years. So salaries will be going up (talking about Tristan).

38. Tristan could be a $13-14 million/year player with new salary cap.

39. The Cavs will bring Tristan back at the above salary range and still bring him off the bench. They have to bring him back, too valuable to let him go.

40. Cavs wanted to lock Tristan up at around $10 million per year.

41. Cap is $67 million next year (I think). Then will go to $90 million or so year after. Then to $108 million in 3 years.

42. [SECOND SHOW BREAK at 33 minutes into the hour]

43. Tweeter: I still feel Blatt is being out-coached.

44. Windy: Blatt has done a good job. He's changed some rotations in 4th quarter. Shut down Thomas in Game 2. "He's done well."

45. Windy: A fair evaluation of Blatt will be what he does next time he's under stress. That has not happened yet in playoffs and has not happened for quite awhile now.

46. Windy: There is a perception that Brad Stevens is a genius coach. But he's limited by his talent.

47. Windy: Blatt has been "absolutely fine". But not the time to evaluate him yet.

48. Windy: As great as they say Stevens is, he hasn't gotten it done. Talent is key.

49. Tweeter: Should we be concerned that Cavs have given up a lot of points in the paint against the Celtics? Could it hurt against the Bulls?

50. Windy: Bucks have worked hard in Bulls series to slow down Gasol and the Bulls interior. Did not work because Butler and Bulls guards have been great, so Gasol not doing well hasn't hurt the Bulls much.

51. Concern going into Bulls series is how do you slow down DRose, who looks very good right now.

52. Bulls have size.

53. Dunleavy playing well, has given Cavs problems in the past.

54. Mirotic hurt his knee (or thigh) in Bucks series.

55. If Mirotic is gimpy for the Bulls, that will hurt them. He stretches the defense.

56. LeBron doesn't care about Evan Turner. He's slapped him around in the playoffs for years.

57. Joakim Noah doesn't move as well. Because of his knee. This has hurt the Bulls.

58. Noah is not quite the same player since his knee surgery.

59. [FINAL SHOW BREAK at 48 minutes into the hour]

60. (Discussion of NBA Playoffs -- Pelicans versus Warriors)

61. Pelicans were up 17 points with just 6 minutes left.

62. First round has been a disappointment.

63. I think Spurs/Clippers may go to 6. Also think Wizards/Raptors could get to 6 games. And that may be it for the first round series that make it to 6 or more games.

64. I think the second round series will be good. Especially in the West.

65. I think the Spurs will win their series against the Clippers.

66. The Hawks have not looked good against the Nets.

67. There is a chance that Cavs-Bulls could be the real Eastern Conference Finals, if Hawks keep struggling.

68. Host: Should we be concerned with LeBron's turnovers?

69. Windy: They've been there all year. Will get some from high usage rate.

70. Key is that LeBron can't have careless turnovers. LeBron knows that.

71. I don't think LeBron's turnovers will be a big issue.

72. Host: Have you heard the Shumpert rap? It's...interesting.

73. Windy: lol (knows host is being sarcastic). I have not heard it.

[END SHOW]

Mel Kiper and Todd McShay are quoted by their peers constantly as well. Doesn't mean they're any more or less reliable than the next guy.

For those of you that care he is about to go on ESPN 1000 in Chicago. Can listen to the stream online.
