Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Yea, what I was trying to say must not have registered (my bad).... More like, if people felt he was going to be a top center in the NFL and a perennial pro bowler, I would imagine he would have been drafted much higher...

Just like if Mangold was projected to be one of the best centers in the NFL, he would be slotted for a top pick instead of a potential late 1st/ early 2nd...Great centers don't grow on trees..

There, that's my point, hope it's clear, buddy...

Centers just don't go high in drafts regardless along with guards.

Just like QB's are such a glamour pick they go very high in drafts.

People want Carp because he is from OSU.

Ill take Lawson any day of the week over him..Carp may be solid, but you have to take into account that he played next to the best LB in NCAA last year and was part of the best group of LBs in the NCAA. Combine results dont sell him for me.

You can't be serious? Maybe you should take into account that Lawson played next to the best DE in the NCAA last year. Lawson could and probably will be good, but Bobby Carpenter will be great. Lawson has no experience in pass coverage, Carpenter not only is experienced in pass coverage but he also puts his hand down and gets to the quarterback (just like Lawson). Carp has a big motor and great work ethic. OSU linebackers are notorious for making a huge impact in the NFL.

Melvin Fowler was the second best center that year ....we got him, then drafted Faine #1 the next year. Talk about a team that has invested alot into one position in the last three years ....a high 3rd round pick, a #1 pick, and now $36 million over 6 years for Bentley. At least we finally got it right this time and we have a pro bowler at the position ... Now, we can get probably a 4th rounder from the Eagles for Faine ..I'll take that. That'll give us three extra picks this draft that maybe can be used as bait to move up a bit in a round to grab a guy we covet.
