If we trade down I'd rather have Carpenter. He's moving up, mid to late first round. Supposedly Lawson is early 2nd rounder.

People want Carp because he is from OSU.

Ill take Lawson any day of the week over him..Carp may be solid, but you have to take into account that he played next to the best LB in NCAA last year and was part of the best group of LBs in the NCAA. Combine results dont sell him for me.

People want Carp b/c he fits the 3-4, he can rush the qb, cover and play the run, can play de and olb in different situations And as for combine results, he's coming off an injury. People take way too much outta combine results.

Lawson kinda seems to be a workout warrior, he needs to get stronger. he's 240, while carps at 260

I like Lawson but him and Carp seem like a stretch to me at 12, even bunkley does. I hate the spot the browns are in

Personally, I don't care if you're drafting 5th,12th,27th .. You get the best damn player to fit what you're doing...Most of these experts and prognosticators are wrong anyways... The Dude we just signed was a 2nd round pick....If people thought Bentley was the best center in the draft at that time, he would have been a top pick...

Dwight Freeney would have been a top 3 pick back in 02, but experts were all over the other guys picked before him....

It usually hit or miss... Just get the guy who best fits your system regarless of draft positioning and other factors...

Hate to break it to you PIp but Bentley was the best center to come out of that years draft. He won the award for the best center in college that year as well.
