I don't think they are going to split the women's division in two.

NXt could have Bobby Roode, Roderic Strong, eric young, Moose and a few others before the summer is out . Aerican alpha is rumored as well as bayley to be calle dup soon.

Lots of changes going on with the brand split.

rumours also suggest that Ic title will be on one show and US title will be on another.

I suspect if Orton Joins the Cena /wStyles feud that he will be going to smackdown as well

that's around a 40 man roster for the mens and tag team devisions.. 38 if you count the golden truth as a tag team.

I would imagine they would want at least 20 individual wrestlers for each show and 6-8 legit tags teams for each brand.


NXT on the other hand are bringing in more guys like Samoa Joe who has his own merchandising and following and were prefer that arrangement than a WWE contact. Roode, Strong, and Mosse and the other guys if they get them will give the NXT a stable of guys who can work with the young talent

I thought Smackdown was pretty good.
Kicking off with the Club vs Sawft and turning it into a brawl with all 4 contenders in the ring got things going nicely.
Owens and Zayn did a good job of making the most out of boring booking of Owens and Del rio Vs Zayn and Cesaro.
Backstage scene of Apollo Crews mixing it up with Shemus was entertaining.
Corbin and Kalisto had some nice stunts packaged in.
Ambrose vs Jericho was decent . Having Jericho get the win then get messed up post match was a nice touch.

They are actually talking about making smackdown 3 hours.

With the Brand Split.Raw should be easier for creative to fill 3 hours as they don't have to worry about what to do in those 2 hours of Smackdown.

What will be interesting is to see how this impacts Superstars and Main Event. I would think one would cover raw low and midcard matches while the other would stick to smackdown low card and mid rounders. These internet shows might see a boost from the brand split as well.

I Messing around with the WWE Network I found the Dusty Collection so I watched Starcade 85. A match I hadn't really seen for over 20 years. I figured it would be outdated and not as great as I remembered. Flair vs Rhodes amazingly stads the test of time and I found myself watching the match like it was the first time ever.

Theres lots of things from my childhood that watch now and sometimes have been disappointed. this certainly wasn't one of them..

I always preferred the NWA over the WWE. At the time WWE was pop culture. it was like the difference between bubblegum pop and heavy metal.

If Wikipedia is correct... it looks like Corbin vs Ziggler got added to the main card and is now a falls count anywhere match. Preshow will have Crews vs Sheamus and Golden Truth vs Fandango and Tyler Breeze.

And even though this is like the 10th match between Ziggler/Corbin I'm still more interested in watching that then the women's tag team match.

I think one plan for this years Wrestlemania was Roman vs Rollins vs Ambrose before all the injuries happened.

Which basically means it won't happen, at least not with Ambrose winning the MitB briefcase.

I still maintain that Ambrose winning the briefcase is totally pointless. He's already had multiple title matches. He shouldn't need the briefcase to get back into the title picture. All he really needs to do is attack both Rollins and Reigns leading up to Summerslam and they can justify making it a triple threat match.

The briefcase should always go to either a guy on the cusp of the main event scene or a guy in the mid-card who the WWE thinks will merit a title run sometime over the next year. Ambrose has already been a main event guy, and could easily be written back into the main event without any issue, especially if Rollins or Reigns is the champ since he has a history with both. The briefcase is wasted on him. It should go to Owens, Cesaro, or Zayn, all of whom have flirted with the top of the card but aren't established there yet.
