Which Thrustmaster? And please share your thoughts after you have used it a bit.

It's just the cheaper $100 model. But I'm excited. Got a buddy that agreed to weld me up a nice little stand to attach everything to. Got a racing seat I took out of my old car before I sold it, so going to mount it too.

I remember way back when (2009/10) I built a two racing cages in my basement. I had a very nice HD projector on an 80" screen. It was a phenomenal experience for racing games.

God that was awesome.

I miss having a basement...! One of the luxuries of living in Cleveland.

I don't have the luxury of a basement here. This fucker is going to be in the living room. But I have an area to store it where it's out of the way when I'm not using it.

That's cool. Probably far more economical than the playseat I have for flight and racing, though I did buy the racing one off ebay for much less than list price and I have had it for forever.

I'm still wondering what these awesome exclusives that the PS4 has or is going to have. I see like 5 indie games and Uncharted someday. Killzone was flat out garbage. Infamous has already lost it's allure as an IP. The Order 1886 was a 5 hour quicktime event. Bloodborne is another niche game like Dark Souls and not a reason to buy a console. So realistically, you've got Uncharted and an MLB game. I don't care about baseball, so I'd be buying a console for 1 exclusive platformer/puzzle solving action game. I should note that I am buying a PS4 but solely for access to JRPGs that aren't available on the xbox as MS thinks there is no market for said games. Oh I forgot, street fighter. Because yeah, I haven't been into fighting games since I was 14 hanging out at the arcade.

In the mean time, I'll play Tomb Raider, the new Halo, a new eventual Gears of War, a revival of a ton of classic Rare IPs like possibly banjo kazooie, conker, etc.

I just find it humorous that everything PS has added over the years has been a copy of Xbox starting all the way back to Trophies if not further. Realistically, this new firmware update adds in the ability to change your controller layout, because it's cool to make your circle button the square button to fuck with your friends, and some stuff microsoft already has. For being the better system, why can't they come up with something innovative?

Is it because SOE split off and now makes Xbox games too instead of being the Sony exclusive studio?
Of the games you listed, literally none of them are interesting to me. Another shooter yay. I can't get that fix with every other game on the market today. Tomb Raider, the poor mans Uncharted (which funny enough is the poor mans Tomb Raider...).

Halo? By the guys that gave you a game that finally works after 6 months (well kind of sort of most of the time)! Gears of War by a studio that has never made Gears of War.

So this year for Xbox you're looking forward to 2 games, one of which will be coming to PS4 at a later date. What are you playing the next 6 months? Serious question. The answer is likely games that are also available on PS4.

Someone asked who is winning the gen, it's PS4 by a very large margin. Current estimations would put X1 between 11 and 12 million, with PS4 at 20.2 million.

With the lack of games until fall, and a likely PS4 price cut this year, it wouldn't be shocking if PS4 hits 38m, and X1 only hits 18 or less. It is dead outside of the US/UK, and even with a 50$ price advantage in the US it lost last month.

PS4 has sold 1.7m this year in the two slowest months of the year. X1 sold about 8 million all of last year.

This gen is set to drastically decline over last gen. PS4 might hit 100m, but we're losing at least 80m from Nintendo. Everyone expects a shorter gen (thank god), so less years to sell. The only advantage this gen has, is that the parts are more price scalable. As more GDDR5 gets made, the PS4 price is going to drop a lot, and die shrinks for both consoles.

I was doing some looking at the future, and the whole reason I bought a PS4 is lucky to even get 2 releases this gen (if the COD franchise is not dead by then). Less and less reasons to own a console. I could just buy/upgrade a pc every 3 years and basically be in the same situation.

And X, congratulations on the seat. That's all kinds of awesome. If/when I get a PC, i'm looking to do the same thing for VR racing games.

So rather than actually mention an exclusive that should make me buy the PS4, you'll just trash the xbox titles. You keep talking about this vast library the PS4 has, though to my count, the X1 actually has a larger library of physical games, and only just barely behind in purely digital titles. So I'm still waiting.

Do I get another God of Quicktime Events?

Again, you want to give me reasons to buy a PS4, and the only reasons I can find are if I want a baseball game, or I want a system that will do the same things as my Xbox, only 2 years after my xbox could?

And the most important thing. My xbox one can withstand a direct fall from 15 feet. A playstation 4 cannot.

I got a PS4 nine months ago because

1) Cheaper
2) NBA Gametime
3) MLB & The Last of Us & Uncharted

But now...

1) Same price
2) XB1 also has NBA Gametime now. And has ESPN. And just better apps in general.
3) MLB online is a joke, I beat TLoU, but Uncharted seems kinda cool

There have been rumors about a Gears of War collection similar to the Halo collection...IF that happens, I'm jumping ship. And/or if the new Gears game looks good (unlikely), I'm jumping ship.

The only game I really ever play these days is NBA2K. But I would totally play the shit out of Gears of War (again) if they remade it.

I'm happy with my PS4 and everything, but at this point, it has no advantages over XB1 for me. Other than I already have it. In fact, if I were to buy one today, I'd get the XB1 because it has better apps and for Gears of War hope.

PS4 murdered (is still murdering?) XB1 in sales for a reason, it was the only choice to make originally. But now, I'm not seeing it. At least for me.

But once people have it, I doubt many will take the time to convert over because they are lazy or don't care enough to do it. And I'm not sure the voice recognition and all that was as good as they thought it was going to be. I guess it is sort of "cool" but it isn't that practical.

Oh I totally agree. That's where I am at right now. It will take a Gears of War collection or at least a new Gears game (that is good) to get me to switch.

232 confirmed 2015 releases for ps4 this year, excluding the unnanounced titles like asscreed, and COD.

79 for XB1 including unconfirmed games like asscreed, and multiple episodes of the same game.

Pretty big difference. Sure many PS4 games are digital only, but they're still an option. Isn't the PS4s current library nearly 2x as large as XB1, and about to nearly triple it this year.

XB1 has no games meme here.

^^ if they do announce a Gears collection, give it a few days before you do anything. Nobody needs to get burned from a shitty game like MCC that barely functions.

Very true.

Believe me, I'm not wasting time and money switching unless I KNOW what I'm getting with Gears.
