Which is why Detroit did it for one.. They have to shed salary and if they can get someone similar to Granderson way cheaper, they'd do it. Edwin Jackson was traded by them too but he is overrated. Really fizzled off in the 2nd half.
I know, I understand why Detroit did it, I just don't agree with the guy who was making it seem like the Yankees are tossing away some stud that they'll be missing out on.
The Yankees traded Jackson to Detroit for Granderson. They'll get Granderson for the next five years while Detroit develops Jackson, then they'll trade back for Jackson when he's in his prime and give Detroit another prospect to develop for them :chuckles:.
