Brad Hand and Carlos Santana should get it done. Get off your hands Ferry!!!

At this point, we may just have to operate under the assumption that Clev won't return this season. The plan is likely to have either Rodriguez, Hu or Anderson fill in as the fifth starter until Salazar can actually throw a pitch in a big league game again. If/when Salazar returns, I have to imagine he'll stay in the rotation and the club will look elsewhere for help in the pen come July.

Get ready for Dr. Sticks in the late summer, and put some respect on his name.

But no, they expect Clev back this year...

Hamilton was hardly optimistic when talking about Clevinger.

He was certainly acting like it would be 3-4 months for Clevinger at the absolute best and he wasn't confident he'd pitch at all the rest of the year.

3-4 months is the likely timeline.

6-8 weeks before picking up a ball means he'll be rebuilding his pitch count from nothing. Throwing program after two months, another month in rehab makes three seem very reasonable.

Things were going so well and really coming together,,devastating news. Could have been a cy young type year for Clevinger. Damnit.

Average recovery time for a non-surgical option when dealing with this injury is ~100 days. That’s 14 weeks.

Puts him back in mid July post All-Star break.

When you have an inexperienced pen and a struggling offense, losing a starter you know can shut down opposing teams is absolutely a critical blow.
I guess I didn't read closely enough, thinking he'd only be out 2 months. Being out 4 months is definitely brutal.

Any chance they kick the tires on Keuchel?

Hurts far less than it would if we didn’t have Kluber, Bauer, and Carrasco. Even Bieber seems like he’s better than most teams’ number four.

Stings still. Sucks hard for Clev, too. But I honestly don’t see it as a huge blow simply due to this rotation being an embarrassment of riches.

Bieber is better than most teams #2 or 3 guy.

But if there’s one place they can handle losing someone, it’s their rotation.

Yes and no, I am Mr Positive, but until we see production out of the 3 guys coming back, losing a member of our rotation puts us dangerously thin at our strength.

I am staying positive because, but this really hurts more than anything so far, takes away our cushion we had.
