I've never liked Flacco much...I don't think he's top 15.

To say Flacco is not top 15 of NFL starting QB's, you'd pretty much have to say that you think some combination of 5 of the below guys are all better than Flacco:

Ryan Fitzpatrick
Jay Cutler
Matt Stafford
Carson Palmer
Matt Ryan
Cam Newton
Matt Schaub
Sam Bradford

Ryan, Schaub and MAYBE Fitzpatrick are better. Stafford is probably better, but he hasn't been healthy. Ultimately I think Stafford will be the best on the list above. I personally wouldn't say Fitzpatrick is better because he's only had 1.5 good seasons thus far. Carson Palmer has to prove he is what he was a few years ago. Carson Palmer of last year is right around the same level as Flacco now. And of the other guys...none are close.

Flacco is most definitely top 15.

You seemed to have accidentally left McCoy off your list.

McCoy is an obvious lock for top 10, so I don't know why I'd have included him that list...

Stafford is a lot better than Flacco.

Someone on OBR mentioned how Heckert was on 92.3 and said Colt will be the starting QB for the 2012 season.

Pack your shit and get comfortable. We are moving into the basement of the AFC North for good.

yeah he said that and it doesn't change my prediction that we'll draft a QB if Colt continues to play like the first 6 weeks one bit. means nothing if a GM says that on the radio during the season

What should he say? McCoy will be replaced in 2012? Even we'll wait and see would be terrible: why admit you lack confidence in your QB? Seneca isn't going to be the guy, and no one else on our roster gives us a better chance to win than Colt McCoy, despite his deficiencies.

Even if we draft a guy (which I really expect we will. whether that's in the 1st round or not depends on how McCoy finishes out the year IMO) he'll likely be on the bench behind McCoy to start the year.

No matter what he meant by saying it, it still scared the hell out of me hearing it.

Need to see the 3rd stringer before this can be declared as true. Since the HC is familiar with him, it will be interesting to see whether he gets some run in the event of a McCoy injury at the expense of Wallace.

Believing what football coaches say in public about the future of their skill players is like believing what your girlfriend says in public about whether she's blowing your best friend or not.

Is that the most sound comparison to be made??
