GAME 68 | Cavaliers vs Heat | Wednesday Mar. 20 7:00 pm

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You cannot defend a coach that gives his team no rest. Time outs are there for a reason. Our guys needed rest and council. He gave them neither. You continue to miss this, Mr Basketball. You do not understand the game. Period.

Oh get of your high horse. I've played the game more than you, and I sure as shit know more about it than you.

Team has one, ONE BACKUP PG, and his name is Daniel Gibson. Now what in the holy hell should Byron have done? I'll ask it again. Who would you have played when Livingston needed a break? Chris fucking Quinn?

I can honestly say that I have NEVER agreed with a word that moo has said on this board (dont know about his radio show, Ive never listened), but tonight he is actually right for once.

Sure Boobie deserves blame for how awful he was, but Coach Scott's refusal to pull both he and Luke when they clearly didnt have it and to only call one timeout during one of the biggest comebacks of all times is unacceptable and really makes me worry about his mentality when games actually matter.

Watch Scott Brooks, Doc Rivers, Popovich, and shit even watch D'Antoni. During the game, they talk to the team. During timeouts, they talk to their players, they get them fired up (Popovich maybe not as much lol). They dont stand there with their arms crossed. They COACH. When a team starts to make a run, they call a timeout, or mix up a rotation, they do something. Even with Gibson as the only other option, do something. He didn't. He stood there with his arms crossed.

Never thought I'd say this, but sign me up for the fucking tank.

Don't go there. These people LOVE Byron. They are also clueless about the game of basketball. For the record, there is no explanation. Byron has done this shit his whole coaching career.

Don't know if I've ever agreed with you before, but I'm as baffled as you are right now.

Oh and Byron just said in his presser that they got the shot they wanted at the end.

I understand why people are pissed. I have been behind the tank the entire season. When Byron pulls a hot-handed Dion Waiters in the 4th, and we lose by a basket, I get it. When he sits Kyrie until under the 6 minute mark in the 4th, and the team just surrendered a 6 point lead, I get it.

I understand leaving guys like Tristan and Livingston on the bench for 6-8 minute segments in a season that means nothing other than draft positioning.

Tonight should have been different. We had a 27 point lead on our enemy, and the MASSIVE run began with Tristan and Livingston on the bench. The Heat went down 24 to 9 in literally a 4 minute span ending the third period. It is OK for one game, a game that means so much to the city of Cleveland, to let Tristan and Shaun play extended minutes.

It's not that I think Byron sucks, I think he let the fans down by sticking to the script. The script should have been thrown out the window for 1 game and the fans that have suffered so much.

I don't care if the Canton Charge were literally out there. There's ZERO excuses to blowing a 27 point lead.

The truth is the truth. Thanks for speaking it. I don't expect anyone to "side" with me. I only say what I believe to be the truth. I am wrong sometimes.

Rest, council, magic pills, none of it changes the fact that when Daniel Gibson plays point, everything falls the fuck apart. Maybe don't go into the season with the lowest pay-roll in the league and invest in some real bench talent, and see what happens.

Shaun Livingston played 37 minutes. He of no knees. Wayne Ellington played 41, which very well might be the most in his NBA career. YET, they needed to play even more, apparently.

When the team literally has two guys who have played point guard in the NBA, how the fuck is the coach not supposed to play them? So we sit Boobie and throw who out there to run the point? Mo Speights?

That's why he's the head coach. It's called using your time outs properly and not collecting and storing them for sea shells for a necklace.

The Cavs were absolutely crushing the Heat in the frontcourt. Surprise surprise, this is the Heat's weakness. So what happens after the 28 point lead? No inside game to speak of. No time outs called during that stretch. It was a mockery of a coaching performance. 20 seconds, down by 1, everyone gassed? No time out. Brilliant strategy.

I'll remember this game as the game a Kyrie Irving/Dion Waiters/Andy Vaerjao-less Cavs team battled their asses. But I'll also remember it as the game where Byron Scott got exposed for the world to see.

Byron is never accountable. He keeps saying "stay aggressive". Yet he allows tired, injured guys to play long spells with no time outs. I guess that's "aggressive".

Don't know if I've ever agreed with you before, but I'm as baffled as you are right now.

Oh and Byron just said in his presser that they got the shot they wanted at the end.

Timeouts would have won us this game because... um... because our guys would have found it in themselves to channel their inner 23 game winning streak... because they were expected to win this game against 3 top 25 players in the game... Ruuudy...Ruuuuudy...Ruuuuuuuuudy...

Yeah fuck you Byron!

Name me a player(s) you would have signed in the off-season.

This isn't new news regarding Byron. The tape has been out on him for a long time.
