Preseason Game #3: St Louis Rams @ Cleveland Browns August 23, 2014 8PM

Mariota or Winston?

These announcers might be worse than our team.

Only the Browns would hire a coach off the Bills staff, and think that would translate to success. Oh yeah, he was on that loser Rex Ryan's coaching tree too.

We actually stopped them on third down.

Another third down conversion. This is pathetic.

These aren't 3rd and 1 conversions either. More like 3rd and 10.

Same ole Browns, great 1st and 2nd down D but can't get off the field on 3rd.

Every time they seem to have something going, on offense they get a penalty and stop momentum.
I know this isn't ground breaking analysis but it be hooves me how this team changes regimes so often but look exactly the same.

Manziel is our only hope. I dont worry about his talent, but his maturity scares me. He could be good if he gets his shit together.

Dude is certainly immature, but I believe that'll fix itself over time. Truthfully, I think having LeBron in town will help Manziel. He can be a great mentor for him.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Johnny. Not everyone can be as mature as RGIII, Luck, Wilson, Peyton, etc. when coming into the league. That's rare. Manziel's been under a massive spotlight ever since he put on the pads at A&M.

I just wish we had a different veteran QB on the roster that Manziel might actually respect and listen to. You think he really cares what sexy Rexy or Brian Hoyer has to say to him? Hell no. Can you blame him? Neither of those guys have had to deal with a fraction of the pressure that Manziel has on a daily basis. He's under a gigantic microscope, and everything he does (good or bad) is Sportscenter material. Hell, no one on the roster has any clue what that's like.

This is why I think LeBron needs to get in his ear. LeBron did some really dumb things early on (Hummer incident in HS, The Decision, Not 1, Not 2, Not 3) but he's really matured and learned from his mistakes.

At least the team shows continuity between their 1st, 2nd and 3rd units.

We are coached like we're playing backyard football.

I never thought we would be this bad. I mean I had doubts because we're the Browns.

And I know this is pre-season.

But this is really grim.
