He’s really going to have to be more consistent offensively, esp during the 4th quarter.
But damn he busts his ass.

Despite playing way too many minutes in a row, and begin put in positions where he isn't comfortable yet (taking non-corner threes,) he still gave great effort in the 4th and play great defense.

He was one of the main reasons for the comeback, and he still put up 7-6-3-1 . You leave Clarkson in there and it isn't anywhere as close.

He also proved he can defend 1-4 exceptionally well tonight.

He can also set great screens , Lebron got two easy drives out of them in the 4th.

I just hope someone bothers to talk to him as I know he's taking this super hard.

Cedi was alcohol tonight. Felt good after
drinking a 5th.......but the next morning....

That is probably the first time that he has been in that late game situation and having to take key shots. Really it is a failure of coaching that he was not blooded earlier in the season because in every other aspect of the game he contributes massively.

Good learning experience for him moving forward.

I blame Lue for keeping a rookie in late like that.

Hey, he's a rookie. When Griffin avoided young players like they had syphilis, it was because of the dramatic ups and downs. The Cavs and Cedi should expect a few uneven shooting performances, but it doesn't change what Cedi will be doing in the future.

sure he played good D. But if we want to rely on him in the playoffs he has to do things like hit non-corner 3s or drive and break down the defense when the entire opposing team is standing and staring at him from 20 feet away daring him to shoot. He is really talented. He can do it. But he showed rookie nerves tonight.

It's almost like we never had him do these things earlier in the season and now we are paying for it.

He had a chance to win the game by hitting some of those open threes, yes, but he helped get the Cavs back in the game in the first place by actually playing defense, being a transition threat which helped open lanes for James, and by setting some excellent picks that freed up James to drive like on that poster on Illyasova.

Not many players can suck that hard shooting and still be a +20 in a game when their team was once down 30. He’s a positive player who makes positive plays and if his shot is falling, he’s going to be a big PLUS on court.

He doesn't have the same burst and explosion as he did prior to the injury so he can't penetrate and get to the heart of the defense.

I think tonight there were a lot of positives things to take away from this game in regards to Cedi.

Andre Roberson can play in crunch time, PJ Tucker can play in Crunch time, Mbah Amoute can play in crunch time... there are tons of players that have worse shot than him that can still be useful in crunch time. He can spot up in the corner, there isn't anything that forces him to stand anywhere else. His roll was the Jr roll in the finals, problem is, he isn't a good Pick and Pop player yet.

The negatives things are obviously how badly coached this team is. Unless Lebron takes it all upon himself, we are basically doomed.

My point is, his defense and energy helped spur the comeback, but his missing those shots is like when you get the hangover soon thereafter the night after drinking a fifth.

I like Cedi like anybody else and he had been played to death, but you simply gotta hit one of those shots. Pure and simple. I wish Zizic got that kind of run.
