Here is the deal, its 46% percent.
Not 40%.
Either way, still not in the Indians favor at the current moment.

Paul Dolan was on one of he Spring Training broadcasts on STO and referred to Bryan Rocchio as our future shortstop. That told me quite a bit about his thinking and how confident he is in the farm system and player development staff in the system. We’ll see.
I do my absolute best to try to stay up on our farm guys, so this is probably just my fault for being ignorant of it, but I had no clue who Rocchio was until I just looked him up.
.664 OPS at M-Valley this season? Is that right or outdated? That's the guy Dolan said is the heir apparent to Lindor?
Not ragging on the kid, he's 18, but Dolan needs to learn to shut his damn mouth.

He's probably the best defensive shortstop prospect the Indians have ever had. It's not for his bat, although I think from what I've seen, he could develop some pop.

Depends on the length.
He’s going to get 30 million a year, like Machado got.
But if all things are equal, Lindor wants to stay in Cleveland. Whether people believe it or not, the Indians are in the drivers seat, but there are still things that have to fall their way in order for it to actually happen.
Man, I hope nothing more for you to be proven right, but I have a difficult time seeing him accept anything less than $300 million. And, we already know Pauly D isn’t writing that check.

I have significant doubts this is the best way for a low budget team to operate if the goal is to compete for World Series winsAt this point, and this is with understanding everything with market limitations and everything, I would be extremely disappointed if the Indians were that far off on a contract with Lindor.
They need to scrounge every nickle and penny that can get and give it to him. He is the ultimate Indian, he's already on the mount rushmore of Indians for me.
The Rays deal is the most recent to go by and they got $83 million a year and nobody in that market cares about the Rays. Right now the Indians are only getting 40 a year. If the Indians continue to draw good ratings it could go over 100 million but there are discrepancies on when the contract exactly ends (2022 or 2027).I'd really love to know just how much TV money the Tribe will be getting and what kind of impact that could have re: Lindor.

I think to a lot of people, keeping Lindor is about more than just that, and that’s ok. But given the budget constraints we face I just don’t know if allocating 30% of the budget to one super star is really the best way to maximize our chances
I get we all love watching him and we all want to see him in an Indians hat in the HOF one day and we all wish baseball operated different
But operating in reality and how constricting that contract would be to the rest of the team building, there’s at least an argument that it’s not the best way to build a contendor
And God forbid if he goes the way of Miguel Cabrera Or Cano or many other guys who get the 12-13 year contracts. Could you imagine giving 30% of our budget to a black hole for 4-5 years? The Indians literally could not overcome that. They’d either have to package half the farm with him to get that money off the books or just be uncompetitive for half a decade
Fuck you talkin' about coach? I know I can't trust your wordWell from what I can tell from an update on baseball reference, Salazar, who was slated to get another rehab start, looks like he was scratched and isn't going to pitch again for another week or two. They didn't link it to anywhere, it was a morning update, but I trust their site, so it looks like Salazar is back to resting for another week or two. Hopefully the update is wrong, but its not good news. I think we were all hoping to see him come back in the second half and pitch out of the pen and help us down the stretch.
