JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Can we go ahead and move this shit to around the NBA now?

We need to keep this thread as a single place for complaining about not getting assets for his contract. Just like we need a dedicated Kyrie Boston Trade Rant thread. Mods can shut both down when people get tired of the topic in 17 years or so.

He's a guy who was so disruptive when he didn't get the minutes he wanted that the team actually paid for him to sit home rather than be anywhere around the team. That's the kind of thing a team has to consider when signing him. His "good J.R." period seems to have been rather limited, and restricted to that period when he was good enough to be a starter while hanging around LBJ.

Diminished skills aside...doesn't exactly seem like the type of guy in which other teams should be very interested.

He also hasn’t played basketball in a year. The last two years worth of sample in which he did play, he was absolutely dreadful...

In addition to what you say about his locker room antics.

I would want no piece of him if I’m an NBA team. He’s effectively retired.

It is virtually guaranteed that he is going to have a higher opinion of his remaining skills than does the team that signs him -- if one does.

That would not end well.

Yea I don't think his market will be wide at all. I think the Cavs gave him the opportunity to show what he could be in the next phase of his career and he pretty much failed the test. I'm not sure who even takes the risk at this point. Maybe Houston because they have no depth.

Philly has no depth either. After signing Ben to an extension today they will have to sign vet minimums. Dont think the Sixers will be that desperate but who knows.

So many teams have a shot this upcoming season. 3pt shooters will be in demand.

I think JRs biggest problem will be that the Lakers are passing. JR had success with LeBron who clearly doesn't want him now.

Love JR for killing it in that game 7 but his pretty much cooked, As mentioned before his locker room antics are real problem. Look WTH does soup in in asst coaches face? Still suprised we didn't get anything for him. I don't blame him what's so ever, I blame that cock-cucking POS Raul Paul. Dude is a scumbag fucktard that needs to exile out of the league.
