JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

NBA star J.R. Smith beat the living daylights out of a man who allegedly smashed his car window during the wild protests in L.A. ... and TMZ Sports has the video.

You can see ... the 6'6", 225-pounder unleashed a barrage of violent kicks on the man -- landing several times in the head.

When the guy finally stands up on his feet, Smith delivered a final punishing overhand right to the guy's dome.

Finally, some of J.R.'s friends step in and the other guy scurries off in a hurry.

Smith explained the attack in an emotionally charged video -- saying, "One of these motherfu**king white boys didn't know where he was going and broke my f**king window in my truck."

"Broke my sh*t."

Smith says his truck was parked in a residential area -- away from the stores that were being looted.

We're told the incident took place around the Fairfax area -- near the famous Flight Club sneaker shop, which had just been looted.

"I chased him down and whooped his ass," Smith said.

Smith says the incident was NOT fueled by race or hatred -- it was simply revenge for messing with his truck.

AKA, Street Justice.

"He didn't know whose window he broke and he got his ass whooped."

You hate to see it.

Yeah slight misunderstanding my dear friend. I blame that sleaze-ball Rich Paul for sacking us with the ridulous contracts that TT and JR got. His only play was using Lebron resigning as leverage (fucken 1+1). I'm happy Marcus Morris fired that dick-riding loser and actually called him out for his conflict of interest. Hopefully the NBA looks into this and bans his ass soon. His nothing but LBJ lackey ball-boy. Also Griffin was GM at the time so that's on him, but he was put into a VERY diffucult spot. As for the soup thing, as funny as it sounds to us; If I was acting GM I would fined him right there, sent him home and tried to void his contract immmediately as a way to get out of that shit and claim it as some pussy ass "assault" in the work place. I'm sure if the bitched loud often to that pansie Silver he would have caved like how bends over cheeks spread wide-open for the players. The Love contract was a terrible move and to this day I blame Dan for his spitefullness .
So your mad Paul did what every agent would’ve done in the same situation?

You do know it’s an agents job to maximize return right? And FWIW Jr Smith deserved that contract at the time it was given. He was our starter and one of our highest rated defenders, if not our highest rated perimeter defender

So...move to Around the NBA?

Looks like the reunion might really happen...

I know this is gravedigging and belongs in Around the NBA, but apparently J.R. Smith has only ever hated one teammate, and that man, Sam Dekker.

There is a lot to hate about how Sam plays the game. I would say normally JR is pretty chill but didn't he also throw some soup at Damon Jones?

Pretty vague stuff from JR Smith but considering Dekker has played on 6 teams in 5 years and is currently playing ball in Ankara Turkey, my guess is plenty of people share that same sentiment LMAO.

I guess he didn't reach his ceiling of being the next Gordon Hayward /s

If you read the article, it was all about Dekker's love and pride of being a white guy, love of Trump, borderline white supremacy.

I read the article, and it doesn't say that. What it literally say is that we don't really know exactly what Dekkar said:

This is pretty vague. Did Dekker merely support Donald Trump (whom millions of Americans support for a wide variety of reasons)? Or is Smith using “talking some Trump s—” as shorthand for racism, hatred, divisiveness or any other attributes commonly associated with Trump?

It would have been easy for JR to say flat out that Dekkar was talking "white supremacy", but he didn't say that.

Pretty easy to insinuate. This is the same Dekker who posted about being proud to be white on Twitter. The article further talks about Dekker knowing he's from a place of privilege and wanting to maintain that order.

It's really not hard to figure out what he's saying.

I walked into a JR Thread and a Sam Dekker thread broke out. Sam Dekker? lmao.

“Pretty easy for me to jump to a conclusion not based on evidence because it supports my world view.”

Please enlighten us all how else someone should take those comments then? Should I ignore the narrative that's been playing out in the US for the past 4 years?

You tell me how this quote means anything other than dude was a blatant racist.
"For what the question he asked, it’s a thought pattern. You’re taught that. It’s not like – it’s the hate you give. And I feel like it’s something you’re taught. It’s not – the privilege he has was taught to him, and he took heed of it and run with it even further than somebody who was not – who was oblivious to what they have and what the life they lived. Because some people just go through their life – not not necessarily knowing, but not aware and privy to somebody else’s circumstances. He’s a person who’s just very aware of somebody else’s circumstances and want to keep them there, as opposed to try to help him elevate up. And I don’t respect anything about that. "

Sorry that doesn't fit your world views, but it's pretty obvious that an NBA player probably isn't going to come out an say dude was a straight racist. But the insinuation is obviously there. Is it really a surprise dude was traded away less than 4 months after we acquired him and is now playing overseas?

Is Sam Dekker the least racist player formerly in the NBA?
