2019 Series #43 | Indians @ Tigers | August 27th, 28th, and 29th

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Another nice start by Plutko. I know he's kind of a whipping boy around here, and I rag on him a bit, but I have to admit he's been far better than expected for us filling in for our injured guys.

Contract wise, he probably doesn't fit into our plans for next season with how loaded we are at SP, but at only 28 years old, I bet he slots in as a nice 4 or 5 starter for a NL team next year.

Love Franmil's at bats today.

I know it was above the zone, but he got on top of that pitch last at bat and drove it for a double.

Right after the ump calling a ball 8 inches inside a strike, he smokes a ball low in the zone over the center field fence to put the game away.

That's my franimal.

He’s tied for third for most home runs for players 23 or younger.
He's 24. Also, multiple other players had over 100 home runs before the age of 23, so I'm not sure this is even close to accurate.

Unless you're talking about single season AND counting everyone as the age they were at the beginning of the season? Or, unless you're not talking about his performance last year?

Please clarify.

Stat they showed on Fox Sports Feed for Detroit didn’t say that.

I think there should be some kind of penalty for teams like Detroit and Baltimore that are barely fielding a major league team and are likely going to finish with 110+ losses.

Maybe set in some kind of thing where "hey, if you lose 110 games, you're losing a 3rd or 4th round draft pick too". It's not hard to put together a major league roster that goes 53-109. I reckon all of us here could probably paste something together.

I take back what I said.

The Tigers are an embarrassment. Each loss to them should count as two.
