2020 Off-Season Rumors/News

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Should come as no surprise that Lindor, or any player for that matter, is in favor of changes that gets players to free agency quicker

Yeah, i was trying to be funny, but knew it would get something started. lol
With that said, I know the Tribe won’t do a damn thing to try to actually improve the team. All we will hear about is trading our top 10 player in all of baseball, which WONT improve our team.
We get a year or two every decade, on to the next decade I guess.
This is completely false

2 less years of arbitration? Small market teams will fold, penny pinching owners will crumble. Lindor's last 2 years, I was told to enjoy it from the mouth himself.

Lindor doesn't understand why there's arbitration in the first place.

I'm not a football fan, but what's wrong with the NFL model? I've never noticed many stars pushing to leave for bigger cities or team up with other stars.
The NFL is slowly heading that way. Antonio Brown, Melvin Gordon tried (and failed), and Jalen Ramsey were the examples this season

Odell could very well be next

So they will spend $$$ on FAs. Not speaking of bargain bin players who are trying to make a comeback?

You said improve the team.

Not "spend $$$ on FAs," which is a time-honored shitty way of improving your team in a market where fans won't show up. There are ample ways to build and improve a team.

The problem isn't a lack of big ticket free agents, its that your viewpoint on what improves the team is generally terrible and unsupported by logical reasoning.

Spending on big name free agents actually doesn’t make much sense unless we somehow could put up the money for Rendon (since he is the only person I would think about putting any money into) Otherwise we will be looking at complimenting who we have and I think we will make a trade to round out the roster since we have a ton of young talent plus it would keep costs down. Count the trades and who they bring into camp as upgrading the team. I mean there is multiple guys who have had 30+ HRs in a season who we can get on an NRI cause they have been injured. Indians are notoriously good with these types of players, so give the FO a chance

Off the wall type question. Cleveland is one of the smallest markets with all 3 major sports teams. We saw when the Browns left in 95, everyone flocked to the Indians for 455 straight games.

HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING - if the Cavs ever left town, do you think the Indians would see an increase in attendance and more fan interaction than Tribe Fest and weekend games?

FYI, I know spending isn’t going to win us a title. But they cut salary last year, traded away Bauer and on the cusp of losing Lindor because of money. It’s frustrating and sucks.
