R.I.P Kobe Bryant

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What do they mean? There were supposed to be 9 but only 5 boarded or there were 9 people there?

A reporter asked the same thing. The police said there were 9 on board.

9 people on board. The helicopter can hold 13 total.

A real shame. May they all rest in peace.

Who was flying?NM, saw they said 9 which was 8 people and the pilot. I wonder who the other 4 were.

I think the All-Star game should now have one side in purple with everyone wearing 8 and the other side wearing yellow with #24’s only in tribute to Kobe

Bryant, in 2019, spoke about Irving during an appearance on SiriusXM. “You had MJ; who would be that mentee for you?” the host asked. “Kyrie, certainly,” was the first name that came to mind.

“I remember sitting on the couch it home, after Cleveland came back from that 3-1 deficit and beat Golden State,” Bryant said. “We’re watching the game, me and Gianna are just there, hanging out. And my phone rings. And it’s a FaceTime call. ... It’s Kyrie. I pick it up. And Kyrie’s in the locker room celebrating on FaceTime. Like, ‘Dude! It worked! Your advice worked!’ ”

Why, man, why...

If you're a basketball fan, your heart is definitely hurting. I would fight tooth and nail with people that disagreed about LeBron being the better basketball player, but I swear that shit can rest in peace now too.

His daughter too, and another young kid. Just awful.

As a fan of the game, regardless of how you felt about Kobe as a person, or where you thought he ranked among the all-time greats, you had to respect his work ethic, his preparation, his intelligence and how he maximized every bit of his talent. And you had to respect the respect he got from his peers. Kobe, along with Allen Iverson, was the ultimate player's player. There aren't many guys who are worth the price of admission. Kobe was. RIP and condolences to his family, his friends and Laker fans.

Was really cool seeing the entire career.

When MJ was drafted I was a toddler... But Kobe was someone who many of us got to see the career all the way though...

I was fortunate enough to go to the 1998 NBA All Star game which was his 1st and the only one he played in with Jordan as a Bull and that was the storyline throughout...

Got to go to games in 2000 and their finals run and see that 21 year old Kobe.. Lots of fun..

Just sucks a ton...

Agree 100%.
The debate is meaningless and always has been. Kobe was a great man, father and husband.

Kobe maybe wasn’t as talented as LeBron.

But Kobe had a heart and determination I’d never seen before in an athlete. Role model for sure and legitimately humble.

This was absolutely horrific. I have no interest in discussing my personal opinion of his personality or his demeanor as a basketball player. Three kids lost their father and sister today; a wife/mother lost her husband and daughter — all in absolutely devastating fashion. It hurt to learn if this.

Not trying to sound like an elitist or anything but parenthood has made me start to react to things differently. Condolences to all lost on board :/
