FWIW, the TNT broadcast of the Spurs/Raptors game indicated that the NBA may be cancelling some of the games tonight.

ETA: Wasn't a TNT broadcast, but was shared by their Facebook page. Each team took a 24 second violation to start the game.

Not the main issue right now, I realize, but I will say that this has only added to my distrust of helicopters, especially the recreational-travel kind. I'm sure that 99.999% of all helo flights are perfectly fine, but I'm still not getting in one, especially one from Uncle Bob's Flying Widowmaker fleet.

Years ago, a guy I went to law school with and his fiancee died in a helo crash on Kauai. I guess the pilot wasn't experienced with the changing Kauai weather, got lost in some clouds, and smacked into the side of a mountain. RIP, Tom. Tip for you: take the new guy when you choose up sides for a pickup game later today. Just trust me.

My family owns a race car and our driver as a joke to show off hired a local pilot to fly him into the track and drop him off in the infield in a mini helicopter. It went fine, but a couple months later, the same pilot crashed the same helicopter into power lines and died.

His influence on basketball and modern sports can't be understated. There are so many kids aspiring to be the next Kobe in different countries around the world. So many modern NBA players and pro athletes that say he influenced them to participate in sports and hone their craft

Basketball is a form of art and Kobe was a master. He's gonna be remembered for changing the game and as an inspiration for so many future NBA players.
