After the adrenaline wore off, I realized the Cavs don’t play until Sunday. So.....lots of time to debate and conversate.

Cavs have 30 games left.

Give a prediction for record in those 30 games and final draft slot pre-lottery

I’ll go first.

14-16
7th draft slot on lottery night
27-55 overall record
Drummond either opts in your his deal or re-signs here on a deal similar to Love’s
 
I don't think they will win that many, but I think they will be more competitive night to night.

We actually have a mismatch for some teams now, and our Stretch 4 amplifies that mismatch IMO.

3 pt shooting is going to improve, fg at the basket is going to improve as will opponents fg% at the basket. Defense will be good at times. I think it adds a few wins for sure and probably invigorates Love.

I say 11-19

Schedule is a little tougher than I thought. Yep 11 wins is optimistic.
 
Yeah, 16 games against current playoff teams. That's a really rough schedule.
 
I’ll say 10-20, but reasonably competitive. We get the 3rd pick and hopefully grab a decent wing in the draft.

It’s actually kind of representative of a brand new mini season.

30 NBA teams
16 make the playoffs

30 Cavs games left
16 against playoff teams

it’s worth noting though that 3 of those games against playoff teams are Orlando and Brooklyn. It’s also hard to know how real injuries will play into things, as well the DNP’s formerly known as Load Management.

I know 14-16 is on the optimistic side, but it wouldn't shock me at all.

9, just bc it'll take a few up and down games to get the new pieces and rotations acclimated with the tougher schedule

I would think it’s the opposite in terms of Love. He’ll be appreciative of the move that was made. He’ll be eager to see how they fit and can play off each other. They’re friendly and share an agent.

How that ends up in terms of wins and losses I don’t know since we have so few wings and such poor dribble penetration resistance, but I think Love will lock in for a stretch and out his best foot forward.
