BROWNS OFF-SEASON 2020

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Trust in Chad Thomas and see if he can take a leap this coming year. We have him until 2022 on rookie deal so let's see what happens.

As someone mentioned (think Keys), try to restructure Vernon or give Everett a 1 & done. Draft a DE late or wait until next year.

Don't blow the load, even though on a great young DE, on a guy who is going to command top-tier $$$ who is a UFA after this year. Onl

Only way you really do it is if for some reason you aren't thinking of extending Ward, Baker, or Myles and you can give him the $. But nope.

Speaking on reliability.. Griffen has a bit of a bizarre past himself, but he was a captain on the Vikings. I wonder what actually was going on when he threatened to shoot-up a hotel.
Room service brought him orange juice instead of apple juice. Word on the street is - don't mess with the man's juice. Apple juice, bitch. Apple juice.

way underrating RBs. Playoffs showed me that the RB matters more then people think.

Im ok where he put our QB right in middle. I think he makes a big jump
2nd best RB group.
4th best WR group.
14th best OL.--I expect us to be top 10 this year.
15th best DL--I think we will improve there
3rd best DE
last in LBs but probably the position I would pick if I had to be last.
13th best CBs. when healthy I think we top 5
20 something on S. I hope draft helps this.

The team that won the Super Bowl is a team that can basically plug anybody in at RB and watch him top the league in rushing. Damien Williams is a 27 year old NFL journeyman who was a bad playoffs away from being out of the league.

If you have a good O-line and a good offensive scheme, RB really doesn't matter much as long as you have someone who isn't just a guy. Of course, if you don't have one or both of those, then having an elite talent at the position can help off set that, as we saw firsthand last year with Chubb killing it despite coaching ineptitude.

From Pro Football Focus:

Edge Adrian Clayborn, Atlanta Falcons
I touched on Beasley earlier as one of the players who might be overvalued by his sack numbers. His running mate at edge, Clayborn, falls in the other camp. He only had four sacks on the season, but very few edge rushers won a higher rate of their pass-rushing snaps. The top-five edge defenders with 200 or more pass-rushing snaps in pass-rush win rate were J.J. Watt (25.3%), Myles Garrett (25.0%), Joey Bosa (22.9%), Za’Darius Smith (21.2%) and Clayborn (21.1%).

Clayborn has shown flashes in games – who can forget the Chaz Green game – and seasons (2017) where he has looked dominant, but he has been unable to string together multiple seasons at that level. With his last three seasons being his three best seasons in PFF overall grade, it makes sense for a team to capitalize on his low sack total from 2019 and bring him in on a team-friendly deal in 2020.
