New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Was he perhaps the best villain in TV history?

I want to say that's silly, but I can't recall a better one off the top of my head.

Maybe for best single season villain but I'd take a lot of others over him, great though he was.

Gus Fring
Stringer Bell
Marlo Stanfield
Boyd Crowder
Joffrey Baratheon

Could probably come up with a bunch more.

He is somewhat unique in that he's the only villain on that list that won even in death.

I feel Lithgow had more gravity in his character than the above, but it's not like there are any wrong answers here.

I was also thinking of classic villains, mostly in sci-fi franchises, but it's so weird to discuss a character that might be around for decades in comparison to one that existed for a single season or a few seasons.

I think Boyd Crowder is the best TV character ever, good or bad guy. He's just so much fun.

You like stringer bell more than omar? Is omar a villian? I like how complicated the morals of Omar, extremely interesting character, I get stringer and that gangster to real estate developer thing, but that really isn't that uncommon in real life.

I wouldn't consider Omar to be a villain in The Wire. Omar is a criminal, but he's a clear protagonist on the show, and he's usually (in his own way) on the same side as the cops. He frequently helps them and they help him from time to time as well. There are quite a few criminals on the show that I wouldn't consider to be villains, like D'Angelo Barksdale.

Stringer, though, is definitely a villain, although in this instance it's probably better to use the term antagonist because The Wire has a lot of gray area.

I preferred Littlefinger to Joffrey as a villain, if only because Joffrey seemed less clever, and more one dimensional. Littlefinger's scheming worked for a very long time until he finally got busted, and then only with the supernatural aid of Bran.

Or to put it differently, I sometimes laughed at Joffrey's over the top villainy. I always just hated Littlefinger.

I mean you could take your pick of Thrones villains, especially in the early seasons before it all fell apart. Cercei, Tywin, Joffrey, pre-redemption Jaime, etc. I think they're all better villains than Trinity.

As for Littlefinger, if we were talking the book character I'd agree but I thought the show performance was way too uneven.

I didn't like his performance either. Seemed very much to be the wrong in terms of time period, culture, or...something. But I thought it was written just fine, even in the show.

Yeah it was mostly written pretty well early on, aside from those scenes where he inexplicably reveals his deepest character motivations to random whores. His accent is horribly inconsistent. Strange because he was so good in The Wire and he's great on Peaky Blinders too.

Final Space is a weird animated show -I don’t love it but am oddly binging it.
