New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Barry, if you have not seen it.

Bill Hader defiantly earned his two Emmys for best actor.

I know its different, but to me Barry is better than the Wire, very different but Barry is amazing, under rated really even though rated high. Veep was great, but I would take Barry over it any day.

Side note, good to have you back

The Season 2 Ronny/Lilly episode was one of the craziest things I've seen on TV.

You're wrong, but Barry is still a great show.

I know what the experts say, but i am allowed my own opinion. i saw every episode of the wire, barry, and veep, my only issue with the wire is at the begining of each season, they start off clunky as the build their characters. I love Barry because i have a very dark sense of humor and Barry is just that.

I still think season 2 of Dexter was the most gripping season of TV I've ever watched.

I never went back and re-watched it, so I wonder if it still holds up.

Which one was that? Who was the bad guy?

I thought Dexter was pretty awesome until after season four, at which point it took a giant shit all over itself and then just kept shitting for like three more seasons. And then somehow still let everyone, who at this point had zero expectations, down with the worst ending in television history.

I don’t know why man but Dexter was a huge miss for me. I don’t know if the character was too sterile for me or what. I know it’s a wildly successful show but I felt like I was dragging myself through it.

Writing seemed super corny for me at times and I thought some of the acting was just downright bad. I don’t fault people for liking it all but it just never did anything for me.

Season 2 was the Doakes season. I'm not sure there was a bad guy? (Maybe it was the bay harbor butcher?)

I just finished watching Devs on FX. Was an 8 episode miniseries by the same guy who made Ex Machina and Annihilation. I thought it was really good, and would completely be okay with my life ending the exact same way.

Dexter literally WAS the Bay Harbor Butcher... :chuckle:

I think S2 was the ice pick killer, and S3 (my personal favorite) was the trinity killer.
Yeah. If I remember correctly, there wasn't a big bad in S2. It was about Doakes hunting down Dexter.

Season 1 was the Ice Truck Killer (not ice pick).

Season 4 was Trinity. I don't remember Season 3's big bad. That was the season with Jimmy Smits though. Maybe he turned out to be the big bad guy in the end? I don't recall. (This is all off the top of my head--not looking it up)

There's a reason to be mildly obtuse in making statements. A lot of people are coming here for recommendations on what to watch during quarantine. Not ruining the suspense (even on a show that's like a decade old) is something I'm trying to maintain.

Trinity killer was season four. Season three was the one with Jimmy Smits. Season four is where the show should have ended in retrospect. Would have been one of the greatest TV endings ever. Instead, we got the worst.

Anything with John Lithgow is a win in my book. Having him play a psychotic killer, masterpiece.
