2020 Series #13 Brewers @ Indians Sep. 4-6

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Hand really dug deep to right his wrongs and close down that Brewers rally.

Was that our first walk off win of the season?

Closers in non save situations...not the brightest move on the dance floor.

How many times do you see a pitcher collapse after he loses a no hitter late in the game?

Think the Big Unit in the first game ever played in the Jake.

The same thing happened to Hader tonight. The air went out of his balloon.

Welcome back, Oscar Mercado! Two walks, a stolen base, and a double off a guy who hadn't given up a hit all year to set up the winning run! He also singled in his only at-bat yesterday. Nice to get a little help from the bottom third of the lineup for a change!

Awesome job by Wittgren to save Quintrell's butt but then he gave up the solo shot in the 8th. You can't fall behind 3-0 and come in with a fastball dead center. Hand was shaky in the 9th but struck out Huira and Braun before getting the pop-up to end the inning.

Great to see Hosey with the 2-run jack after a 10-pitch at-bat. This was a big win to keep us tied for first.

Let's get the series win behind Bieber tomorrow.

Maybe with Naylor and Mercado we'll finally start getting a little production from the bottom third. Getting Berto back will also help. Leon struck out all four times tonight and I don't recall him getting even one foul ball. Hedges is no better.

That Williams guy was as advertised. Five strikeouts and a weak fly ball in two innings. Hopefully he's not available tomorrow.

Civale made one really bad pitch - an 0-2 changeup to Hiura that was right in the middle of the zone that got taken deep.

I hope Mercado picks it up, because so far Naylor looks unimpressive.

Leon struck out four times and made two errors, including yet another catcher's interference. He also made a wide throw to second that allowed a stolen base. Berto can't get back soon enough. However, Leon did a great job of blocking pitches in the dirt, of which there were many. His BA is down to .113.

Carlos was 0-for-4 with two K's. He's down to .193. How long can they keep him in the cleanup spot?

OK you stat mavens—-Has Santana lost bat speed?

I advocated for moving him down and moving Reyes up a few weeks ago. Not sure if Sandy makes that move - perhaps when Tito returns.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him hit the 10 day IL with Bradley or Bauers getting a call. I think Los needs a break and would come back refreshed.
