Cleveland Browns 2020 Regular Season: What a Ride!

I'm sorry, 6 weeks of practice.

I'd settle for decent improvement and the team looks good. This team isn't built to see Baker look like Aaron Rodgers. He just needs to be Kirk Cousins.

Actually the bar is so low that he needs to be Case Keenum but he can't even do that.

But demands to fire everyone after game one is just Angry Old Man Syndrome. Angrily firing everyone to stand alone in an empty factory swearing at NAFTA is the most self-defeating Cleveland cliche I can imagine.

On the other hand Ross Perot did claim there would be a "giant sucking sound" if NAFTA passed and we can hear that sound weekly during football season coming from Berea and the Lakefront - and I'm over 400 miles away.

Hasn't done that.

Too early to say he cannot do it.

In order for Baker to become what Case Keenum was in that year with The Vikings Baker would have to transform into a player he hasn't shown the ability to be. It's highly unlikely but still possible.

I saw that Njoku was put on injured reserve?

He nearly had that year his rookie season. He still has that in there, IMO, but it's going to be harder and harder to get it the further he gets away from it.

See at the time I was all caught up in the hype too. I was there the night he came in against The Jets and it was a top 5 in person sports moment I've ever seen. But, I remember a few people in here saying he only looked good against bad defenses that year and........I think those folks were right.

Baker has less than a handful of good games against winning teams.

Maybe. We'll see.

So you aren't going to use my whole quote? I have to ask...

Of course Clevelanders have every right to hate NAFTA... They have every right to hate losing the NFL opener... but none of that is better than forming a plan to rebuild and following through with that plan, even when it gets bumpy.

He also shredded some good Baltimore defenses in 2018. Didn't score high in the game we won, and the other we lost.

2018 is long gone, though. I don't care if Baker threw for 50 TDs in 2018 - the NFL has clearly adjusted to him and he needs to overcome it.
