Seems to be a pattern with these Oklahoma QBs.
If you really watch Murray closely, you'll see a lot of the same issues you see with Mayfield.
A lack of anticipation, a need to see guys come open, misdiagnosing underneath coverage, dropping his eyes against pressure, struggling to make throws from the pocket under duress, etc.
The glaring difference between the two is that Murray is obviously one of the best athletes we've ever seen at the QB position and Mayfield is a below average athlete.
So on top of Murray's ability to scramble for big yards if all his pass routes are covered, on top of his ability to beat teams with designed QB runs (and also forcing defenses to account for the possibility of designed QB runs), the single biggest advantage that Murray has over Mayfield is his ability to run out of trouble and into safer and more comfortable throwing windows after he's dropped his eyes against pressure.
Baker hasn't shown the ability to lift his eyes back up and scan the field after he's dropped them against pressure unless he's able to completely escape the pocket out into open space. But he's so slow and unathletic, it's difficult for him to actually navigate his way into open space against NFL defenders.
That isn't the case for Murray.
