Buzzards -- mobile and opportunistic! That sounds like homeless version of the Ravens.

I had no idea what "Guardians" means to Cleveland until someone explained it was about that bridge. So I'm not sure how meaningful it really is to most Tribe fans
Interesting...it's one of my favorite things about the city.
Even if it doesn't connect with everyone, I'd still argue it does more than something random like Spiders.
I like the concept of the art deco Guardians a good bit, but do not think any sort of link to the city or region is necessary...most baseball names are somewhat "random". We could always go the Philadelphia route -- Cleveland Cleves?!!Interesting...it's one of my favorite things about the city.

I mean that is like saying the Ravens were a homeless version of any bird name that came before them. It is unique and has a tie to the city. The colors, mascot, uniforms and logo could also be amazing. I am not letting the Ravens impact options. That sounds like homeless version of the Ravens.
Fair points...I'd tend to lean to something animal based because of the above.
Fair points...
So what is an land animal (or bird) that is indigenous to the Northern Ohio area??
There it is! The Cleveland Porkuluses.
