THIS is who John Beilein was calling a thug! All makes sense now. That vid is shocking wouldn’t want him on my team or as a teammate yikes
And I am actually a psychologist who works in a drug rehabilitation clinic
Can anyone update me on what is 100% known about KPJ? Or is it all 100% speculation,
I know he had a gun incident from a car accident. I know the charges were dropped. I also know no drugs or alcohol was involved. Also it seems he allegedly hit a girl 6 months ago which has a strong chance of being true but I don't believe he was charged? Also the Cavs are keeping him out for personal reasons, which could be a non basketball injury I believe or mental, or something else?
Is this what we know? Am I missing something? Because there are some crazy takes I am reading based on very little known at this point.

Kevin Porter Jr. Is Caught Between a Rough Past and the NBA’s Future
The USC freshman overcame his father’s death and the streets of Seattle just to make it to the precipice of the NBA. But will he become the next James Harden or an uneasy fit for pro systems? Is he one of the best talents of his class or a late first-rounder? Meet the biggest enigma of the 2019...www.google.com
Interesting ringer article on KPJr’s past and the path he took to get to the NBA. It’s a tough situation because it’s pretty evident he survived his time in Seattle after his father was killed due to strong mentors and father figures who honestly did a better job than his own father might have. A trend that also evident is that time away from basketball and from his team does not do well for his psyche. At USC, he had a thigh contusion that led to him missing 7 games, then something went wrong which then effectively ended his season with a conduct detrimental to the team tag placed on him.
His situation at USC clearly led to a projected top 10 prospect being drafted 30th and who knows how much further he would’ve gone if the Cavs didn’t trade 4 2nd round picks for him.
Your point? I work with drug addicts who abuse woman children all kinds of horrible disgusting behavior, most of them don’t change it’s an unfortunate fact of life. Many people are able to recover and reintegrate into society, but the ones who show sign of mental illness mixed with drug use even pot very rarely are able to reintegrate and normally end up in prison or back in the clinic. You don’t want somebody like that on a professional basketball team. The guy punched a woman in the face for crying out loud. Seems to be suffering from delusions, displaying violent behavior and like a previous poster stated illnesses like schizophrenia normally come into affect around this age (20-25)Speaking of "yikes"...
