Let it all out. The Cavaliers Rant Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Windler is young, so he can still develop. But i am disappointed in his game right now. He is weak, slow and his shot looks funny. I thought he would be better than this.
I told people that in his first year! His shooting form is terrible and contrary to what people think he is NOT a shooter (definitely not a pure shooter). He actually a “set” shooter and not very good at that. His release is flat and has no rotation

The team is unwatchable right now. As soon as they're down by 10 points I lose interest, 15 down and I'm long gone.
Here we go again, back to the drawing board, waiting until next year again.

When we come back for the second half of the season, we should be playing Love, Nance, Allen, Prince, Okoro, Sexton, Garland, Windler, Dotson, and Stevens, maybe McGee. That is a very different team than we have now. We add Love and Nance which will definitely improve us and we subtract Drummond which will also improve us.

We suck.

There is not a player on our team that will ever be a starter on a championship team.

Sexland is limiting the cavs potential. Cavs are immediately at a disadvantage with 2 small guards that dont defend well. They're not even dynamic enough offensively to warrant the start. One must go to the bench/be traded.

Want to see a starting lineup of:
One of sexland/cedi/windler/prince/center

With a bench of

Remaining sexland/dotson/okoro/pf/center

I said this earlier in the season Bickerstaffs future will depend on a decision between Sexton or Garland at point guard. He needs to make this decision before he gets fired this year. I'm sure Koby is also getting fired at the same time.

Sexton, Okoro and a vet SF is what needs to happen.

Or at least try Windler at SF

One of the problems is that the Cavs can't afford to diminish any of either Sexton or Garland's scoring. They just don't have anyone to pick up the slack. The major problem right now is roster construction. They really need to trade Drummond and McGee to get some young player with possible upside.

Guys I would target are Jerami Grant, Landry Shamet, and Romeo Langford.

That’s also a reason why they’ve tried to make it work by feeding Drummond. The team has trouble scoring because we can’t make threes and teams adjusted their defenses to stop SexLand. Unfortunately Drummond didn’t work either.

JBB and the coaching staff really don’t have a lot of offensive options available.

Has to be Garland starting with Collin playing the 6th man Lou Williams type of role where he can come off bench and just go 100mph. Garland passes better and actually shoots a 3 while Sexton refuses to shoot from 3 and doesn’t look to pass

When you don’t have many offensive options available, you need to run sets to get guys open. We don’t run shit, bad team worse coach.

Everyone thinks a coach can just draw up a play and get guys open over and over and over again, no matter the talent on the floor and it's....funny.

I Don't like the way the Cavs offense is tailored, but this whole "THEY NEVER GET OKORO EASY BUCKETS!" or "THEY DONT RUN SETS TO GET PEOPLE OPEN!"

Like, if it were that easy to just scheme people wide open over and over, everyone would be averaging 125 points a game.

Now for my rant:

I don't follow much college ball.

But had I been in charge at the time of the draft, picking from the spot the Cavs were picking from, this team would currently have SGA, Hachimura, and Haliburton.

If offered to swap our three picks for those three, I'd do it in two seconds.

And that's fucking infuriating considering, again, I don't watch much college ball and shouldn't be outdrafting our GM.

And yes, I know Garland is better (and will continue to be better) than Rui, but I'd trade all 3 for SGA. Let alone getting Haliburton too.

I LOVE SGA.

Year 3 of the rebuild and we have one guy I’m confident in moving forward. That’s less than ideal.
