I had a thought I wanted to share: I'm beginning to suspect that IF Jake Bauers clears waivers, the Tribe is not going to outright him..
Consider this: waiting for Bauers to clear waivers & outright him takes @ 48 hours & some of that time was burned on Monday.

Why promote/ shuffle multiple players (Brooks/ Engelmann) to then send them back once Bauers clears?? The Tribe could have moved a single person from extended spring training for a couple of days of depth until Bauers is outrighted & joins the Clippers...

Again just a thought I had..

I am okay not keeping Bauers....He had his chances and didn't prove anything so let's move on

Both recent promotions are somewhat inventory guys and could bounce around. If they called up someone like Freeman or Palacios, I might be a little more weary. But essentially Brooks, Marabell and Krieger are "spot fillers". They might expect Bauers to get claimed, but recent moves are a cover play, not true promotions.

Expect Call to start seeing some AAA too.
 
They probably already fielded a couple of cash offers for Bauers and know he'll get claimed, that's my guess.

He'll get traded for cash to a NL club. If the FO is nice they make a deal with a west coast club since he's a Cali boy.

Giants usually like to claim post hype players, but the Mariners might be the best fit. Wouldn't it be funny to see him this weekend in a Seattle uniform? We could finally root against him for real, lol

It appears McCarty is the ace of the Clippers' staff assuming McKenzie will be returning to Cleveland this weekend.

I think Curry and Espino are the two best starting prospects at their respective levels. So tonight will be a great chance to see some of our top starters in action.

Really excited to see if Curry doesn't miss a beat in his 1st high game. Espino is a tweak or 2 from dominating as well. Should be a fun night.

I'm not even sure he's in my own personal Top 5 prospects for us. I'm already ready to move on. IDK why. Doesn't fit well with majors roster either.

Not a bad top 5, I probably have Arias lower (sub in Rocchio maybe)

Helium top 5
Espino
Freeman - The top 2 are neck and neck IMO, practically a coin flip

Did they get a little too aggressive promoting Arias to Columbus? Did the organizational depth force them to be aggressive with Gabriel?

Still high on Naylor? I want to be but only thing giving me hope for him this year is really nice play by his only 23 yo brother.

It's a close call, but probably not. Being on the 40 man may have pushed him a little I guess. One thing I have noticed is his "power" has evaporated this year. Hopefully he can re-find his stroke. His overall plate discipline has improved significantly in 2021, so there's that.

For now. Kind of a rough season for him, but even before Covid he has been one of the most pressed in the system.
