"Deviant" sounds like someone being judgmental and that person should really look inward at themselves before thinking that their judging of someone else is something that is worth anything, or that they should be doing in the first place.I was reading through this thread and for a minute I was thinking about how crazy things have gotten and how people have changed in accepting what was once considered deviant.
Then it occurred to me, recalling what a complete shit-show the entire year of 2020 was and putting it all into context, that compared to last year's every day news this incident now feels like it's almost a non-story to me. I talk to some younger dudes who say their women like and ask for very rough sex. Lots of women of my age including my wife would be outraged by Bauer's actions but I think younger women who are possibly more into that behavior to varying degrees would find it to be less offensive or even understandable, depending on the details and circumstances whenever they do come out.
I guess my point is that it just doesn't seem like it's as big of a deal now as it would have been pre-2020 for whatever reason.
I'm also wondering what people are so certain "Bauer's actions" are. Again, we don't know much at this point.
I'll echo what I said a few pages back--I still can't believe how many people conflate consensual rough sex with physical abuse. (not saying that's what happened here--again, we don't know)
