Ex Indians update

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You realize Bushwick Bill was a massive misogynist, right? There's 16,200 results which come up when you search for those words on Google.

Pardon? In which way am I judging you? And, even if that is so, which came first here the chicken or the egg? I believe we can look at time stamps to find out.

Moving forward, you have the right to freedom of speech and your thoughts/opinions, but don't pretend that removes you from any amount of criticism. A lot of you need a dose of Christopher Hitchens. But, you know, judge not, lest ye be judged. Or, I guess y'all are better then all your constituents and have nothing to be judged by or ashamed of yourselves.
No one is perfect But I can say I do not hit women. Even upon request. I guess I am old fashioned that way As for judging people…. What is a jury for. Can only those who have never sinned be on a jury?
Your argument/point of view is faulty. Adios

So brave. So strong. So righteous. Really valid arguments.
You couldn't answer a simple question but still claim to be a victim and also claim I have no stance or that it's faulty.
Good-bye, indeed.

More than juries make judgements.

Callaway was never convicted...or even charged...but he has been judged, and is not in baseball.

The same for Jared Porter.

You can't honestly compare the two cases. Callaway was approaching women who wanted nothing to do with him and was forcing himself upon them.

Damn, CATS, I remember you from the scout board long ago. We never talked, but I at least respected your opinions, or tried to.

I'm with @Out of the Rafters at the Q and @Derek so far, which doesn't surprise me. I find myself in that position a lot lately.

Way too early to make judgements one way or the other. I don't understand how anyone can confidently proclaim guilt or innocence right now.

Personally, I'd really like to see this one play out in court because if I had a gun to my head right now, I think Bauer is actually on the right side of this situation given what we know so far and comparing the stories that each side has made public to date.

Many of us will not hit a woman... or a man... even if it is "requested".. some people will...

Your morality doesn't allow you to be subjective/objective here IMO because you have already established there is no situation where hitting a woman isn't wrong... Unless they're killing your family.. Then maybe... Right?

On some level it is clear this woman chose to engage in this behavior.. Pushing the limits is intrinsic with this lifestyle I would assume. A lot of gray area here and though Bauer's behavior is depraved and kind of scary, it is yet to play out completely and this is not your usual perpetrator/victim scenario.

It’s moved the needle sure. I’m not stubborn when new information comes across. I guess I’d still be pretty stunned if the punching was a kink.

Still don’t think he should play this weekend

Cant suspend him if those text are real until the investigation is done and the court case is done. He has evidence it was rough but concentual, dont want to set the precident any chick mad at their bf or husband can get them suspended.

Lots of times its real and the athlete is an abuser and asshole, but becuase these guys are rich, lots of times its false aquisations.

Listened to an interview with Roberts today and sounds like Bauer is pitching Sunday. That should be interesting especially with the game in DC.

I was reading through this thread and for a minute I was thinking about how crazy things have gotten and how people have changed in accepting what was once considered deviant.

Then it occurred to me, recalling what a complete shit-show the entire year of 2020 was and putting it all into context, that compared to last year's every day news this incident now feels like it's almost a non-story to me. I talk to some younger dudes who say their women like and ask for very rough sex. Lots of women of my age including my wife would be outraged by Bauer's actions but I think younger women who are possibly more into that behavior to varying degrees would find it to be less offensive or even understandable, depending on the details and circumstances whenever they do come out.

I guess my point is that it just doesn't seem like it's as big of a deal now as it would have been pre-2020 for whatever reason.

I think it's a generational thing.

I'll be honest--I don't really care which way the court goes--even if it gets that far.

I just want to know more before I start making definitive statements.
