One could argue it was the 2nd time Lake County was no hit at home this month.

Back on 7/3 in gm 1 of a DH, the South Bend pitchers no hit/ were perfect vs the Captains for 7 innings. Luckily Gaddis & bullpen also kept SB Cubs from scoring. Hence game went extras & both teams scored & Captains got 1 hit in the win..

Does the ballpark still have the annoying on-field DJ yammering throughout the game? And are players signing autographs at this point? A month ago, Erie stadium staff said “no autographs”.

He is still there but wasnt nearly as bad. I think they turned down his mic volume, being 100% serious. I am not 100% sure about the autographs but can let you know when i go next time. I saw a bunch of kids with their cards so assuming they still sign before or after the games
 
Went to the Captains game for the Bieber bobble, Brennan is going to be a future Guardian for sure. Oppo double at the wall, oppo single, and a good read on a stolen base, and another good read advancing to 3rd on a dropped ball. Seems to pick up on the baseball very well. Dude just looks like a future big leaguer.

Sooner the better when we get an automated strike zone. Terrible low outside and inside strikes being called. Some umpires just suck.

And yes the players were signing autographs.

AA Akron wins 11-7
High A Lake County loses 11-1
Low A Lynchburg loses 7-3

On the night CLE affiliates go 1-3 with a run diff of -14
On the week CLE affiliates are 11-10 with a run diff of -27

INF Marcos Gonzalez activated off the 7-day IL at Akron

RHP Cam Hill activated off the 60-day IL & optioned to (AAA) Columbus. CLE needs to make/ announce a corresponding 40 man move

Benson has been struggling, so lets see how he recovers from that, But Kwan and Palacios have been hot, so that makes up for it... Both are Rule 5 eligible in 22, so I wonder if they will get the AAA call up eventually....
 
Hunter Gaddis’ like last night was wild.

5 IP, 9 runs (6 ER), 10K, 4 HR
 
Rocchio 3-4 today. Valera 1-2 with two walks. Juan Hillman and Mason Hickman with solid outings. Benson batting .500 over his last two at bats. Tyler Freeman 1-4.
 
Sunday game updates/ finals:

AA Akron wins 3-2
High A Lake County holds on to win 7-6

AAA Columbus is leading 4-1 in the top of the 5th
Low A Lynchburg is leading 1-0 in the bottom of the 3rd..
 
Final Sunday updates:

AAA Columbus wins 6-5
Low A Lynchburg wins 8-3

On the day CLE affiliates go 4-0 with a run diff of +8

on the week CLE affiliates went 15-10 with a run diff of -19.

And to think some folks were clamoring for him to be in Cleveland... talk about knee jerk reactions based off a hot streak. Average was .257 on July 14th, ending July 25th, he's now hitting .233. OBP slid from .417 to .389.

I wanted to see him in AAA, but how he is viewed by the organization we will know this November when the 40 man roster is due..
