Minor League Week 12 Games Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
......and Owen Miller.
I suppose Owen Miller didn't lose his prospect status just because of 52 awful plate appearances, but he's in that same soup with Ernie Clement, Andres Gimenez, Gabriel Arias, and Tyler Freeman. I suppose I would rank Miller 5th in that group. Clement is hitting .245 and has struck out 8 times in 53 PA's as opposed to Miller, who hit .109 and struck out 24 times in 50 PA's. Sorry, I'm not listing Miller as a player I'm following with interest and I don't think a 24-year-old contact hitter who strikes out 24 times in 49 at-bats has a future in the bigs, especially since he's not a power hitter like Bradley who you can live with the K's as long as you also get the XBH's.

Slow down, brotha. What’s with everyone trying to rush these kids up three levels every time they have a hot stretch?

Well, he's overmatching low A pitchers and he's a rule 5 candidate for next season. I personally think his bat is much better than scouts originally advertised, so I'd like to see him against better pitching. That's my own opinion, but if he wasn't hurt earlier, he would likely have finished the season at LC honestly...

Personally I think you are giving up on Miller way too fast... People struggle at times, so I am making no judgement about Miller until he gets a second try at everyday ABs in the bigs. So until then, he's still a prospect and candidate for the roster next season...

I agree, coach. Miller's ABs were all pre-crackdown on sticky.

What do you think of Brooks at the current moment? Would you want to see him in the bigs if we don't keep Eddie?

If you are asking me, I am not interested in seeing Brooks in majors short of a COVID outbreak knocking out the entire CLE OF group & Bobby Bradley.
IMHO Brooks is a JAG/ org player. I will root for the guy & hope for his success but I am invested in others.

A return of Eddie Rosario (& Jordan Luplow) from injury takes at bats away from the group of Zimmer/ Mercado/ DJohnson/ Harold Ramirez. So deal Eddie (& Luplow) in order for that group of 4 to continue playing so FINAL decisions can be made on multiple guys after the season (keep or release).

Too many others need 40 man spots after the season. I dont want to make it worse adding 1 more name into the mix..

Why do I have a hunch he will end of like Wendle and be a late bloomer and do well for another team next season...lol

I agree with you on Brooks, I just feel he will see some MLB time in 22, just not in Cleveland...

Has anyone seen how Ramos looks? His BA isn't bad, but he's not hitting for much power. That is typically the last thing to come and he's been a pretty good hitting catcher in his career. I'm more curious how he looks behind the plate.

Yesterday I planned on going to see the Lake County game in Eastlake to see Espino. Thank goodness I decided against the 223 mile drive. No hit and shellacked 14-0.
In Espinos defense, he only gave up 4 runs. I was at the game and it was still a good time. Granted, i only had a 3 mile drive
