2021 Draft Lottery

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Watched more Turkish league games than I'm letting on this year as a result of Nathan's work on him in the draft thread all year. I believe he has more potential to have an impact in the right situation offensively and I'd really like to see him stretch his shooting range out further as I don't believe his faceup game will be a threat even with better spacing at this level.

If he had the range, I could see the comparisons to 19 yr old UCLA Love. Though Love did play some defense. Without it, offensively is he Sean May from UNC?

I'm invested. Wouldn't touch him at #3 and have a few guys I'd take with more boom/bust if we had another lottery pick

To be fair, Sengun did lead the whole league in steals+blocks last year...his fundamentals are raw, and that stands out a lot against pro competition. But I don't think he's actually much worse defensively than Love was at the same age, and he's an inch or two bigger than Love too.

What I believe is if they do in fact draft Green or Suggs at 3 one of the Cavs young guards is going to get traded on draft night. But I don't feel like that will happen necessarily. Drafting one of them. Has nothing to do with the reality that they are trying to dump Nance and Cedi to clear more space to avoid the tax when they pay Sexton :chuckle:
Always poking the bear you are smh what a fucking L

Don't sweat this crap Ozone...I don't know about this elephant stuff but 3rd year players who can break down a D, get their own shot and consistently convert even when the other team knows who's taking the shot are very rare. Sexton's a very valuable asset. I think most fans will understand that at some point.

Hopefully they realize this while he is still a Cav.

I’m all in on Evan Mobley.. But dear Lord don’t turn into either guy….

If you didn't know he was 7' tall+, it's one thing, but dude.... he has some long fucking arms too! Damn.

By the way, you CAN tell he is tall, just look how short the people in the background look for comparison.

;)

Mobley has a higher center of gravity, which isn't ideal for a bruiser under the basket. His high center of gravity helps him complete that flip.

That said, he is a perimeter-oriented seven footer. As long as his outside shot comes along, ho-ly hell... I'm just thankful Kevin Porter Jr. was an asshole to his father at USC.

There really hasn't been a lot of hype or excitment regarding this draft.

It’s unusually quiet. Then again there’s a lot going on, with the Olympics, NFL training camps opening, and the MLB trade deadline coming up.

maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ll see a lot of trades. Cavs seems focused on picking whoever is left between Mobley or Green and then possibly trying to get a 2nd round pick.
