No need. 40 man roster only has 38 on it currently..Logan Shane Allen or Alex Young to be DFA'd to make space on the 40 man?

98MPH with a nice curve. Man Morris is big time. So under the radar. Give him another trip through in Columbus, then have him take Mejia's spot in Cleveland unless he fails in the next start.
This is what the remainder of 2021 is for. Let's see what we have.
Also, don't look now but Morris's strong outing yesterday was followed by Logan Allen Senior with his best outing in a long while. He's still young, lefty, and worth another big league starting look IMO.
Would love to see someone rank
Eli Morgan
JC Mejia
Logan Allen Senior
Cody Morris
Scott Moss
Pilkington
Peyton from Tampa Bay
Adam Scott
These are our depth starters who will tide us over until that next wave of elite starters like ESPINO, Burns, Gavin Williams, Hankins, Vargas, and Logan Allen Junior are ready.
I'd take any ranking of them anyone wants to offer. We're a bunch of fans talking about minor league prospects on a message board. Speculation and different opinions in how to value the millions of variables you mention are understood. Nothing wrong with it either. This isn't being submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals. How would you want them ranked? Cause that list could have a million configurations since the floor, potential and everything like that is different for each of those guys...
My ranking based on no facts. Only one I really feel comfortable with is Morris at the top. I have zero faith in any of the last 3 lefties making anymore MLB starts for Cleveland.98MPH with a nice curve. Man Morris is big time. So under the radar. That's interesting. Thanks. That high on Morris eh? That's exciting. Battenfield, I keep forgetting his name, is very exciting in his own rite. His numbers are ridiculous. Though Morris this year has something like 15 K/1 BB per 9. Why Morris high though? Sell us on him. I want to believe. My ranking based on no facts. Jon Edwards and Anthony Gose aren't exactly apt comparisons since the former was out of baseball for awhile selling real estate before giving the sport one more shot and ending up with the Tribe organization per Cody Allen's recommendation, while the latter is a 30 year old converted outfielder. Far different circumstances than those of Pilkington and Battenfield. In re Pilkington and Battenfield:
The Indians have a superb record at acquiring and developing lesser known pitching prospects into MLB assets.
However, its not 100%.
Jefry Rodriguez
Jon Edwards
Anthony Gose
Recent acquisitions with some hype that busted.
Both of the two new additions look good, and appear to have garnered a lot of recent optimistic reports, moving up in nearly everybodys evaluations. Glad to have them both, but hardly 'counting' on either to make an impact.
********
With Perez being added to the 40 man now, it will be interesting to see who gets cut later, when space is needed, but it adds to the Rule Five equation.
In spite of all the denials, the Rule Five crunch is real. While we opened some spots in recent trades, neither Pilkington nor Perez were on most anybodys list two weeks ago. Now they join a slew of better known prospects that have to be added or lost. If you look at the trades and consider Pilkington and Perez...plus Straw... as needed additions, we are almost back to square one.
Correct, but how bout you do some rankings for us on the pitchers I listed?Jon Edwards and Anthony Gose aren't exactly apt comparisons since the former was out of baseball for awhile selling real estate before giving the sport one more shot and ending up with the Tribe organization per Cody Allen's recommendation, while the latter is a 30 year old converted outfielder. ....and Jefry Rodriguez never had the pitch mix that Battenfield and Pilkington have. With Rodriguez, the hope was that he could develop a 3rd quality pitch, but that never occurred. He's not a good comparison IMO.Jon Edwards and Anthony Gose aren't exactly apt comparisons since the former was out of baseball for awhile selling real estate before giving the sport one more shot and ending up with the Tribe organization per Cody Allen's recommendation, while the latter is a 30 year old converted outfielder.
