Hillman isn't all that interesting IMO.

Still waiting and I hope I haven't missed it for both Logan Allens to start on the same night.

Friday game updates/ finals:

AA Akron sweeps its doubleheader winning Gm 1 3-2 and Gm 2 2-0.
Very nice pitching performances by Logan T Allen in gm 1 (6.0 IP) and Juan Hillman in gm 2 (7 IP, 4 hits, 0 walks and 6 ks).
Both runs in gm 2 were solo shots by Will Benson (1st inning leadoff and another leadoff shot to begin the 6th).
Akron now at 50 wins on the season.

AAA Columbus is leading 3-2 in the top of the 8th

High A Lake County trails 5-3 in the bottom of the 7th

Low A Lynchburg leads 6-3 in the top of the 7th

Espino with 10 k’s in 5 innings but also 5 hits (2 homers) and 2 walks for 5 runs (4 earned), the kid must have an outrageous BABIP.

Nice night all around. Wins for everyone except the Captains, and Akron wins two. Nice outings from Logan T Allen and Juan Hillman especially. jones 3-4 with a homer. Valera a homer. Petey Halpin looking good. Two bombs for Benson.

More Friday game updates/ finals:

AAA Columbus wins 5-4 in 10 innings
High A Lake County loses 5-3
Low A Lynchburg wins 8-4

On the night CLE affiliates go 4-1 with a run diff of +6

Nolan Jones with three hits total last night including a home run, which is his tenth for the season. His OPS is now up to .769 on the season. Andres Gimenez had two hits on the night, which raised his OPS for the season at Columbus to .844.

Man, do I ever want Gimenez playing SS in Cleveland. I can understand that the brass is hesitant to move Amed around again, and that they want Miller to get a fair trial, but Dang! That kid looks like a player!

I don't know what his advanced stats look like in AAA but he had a pretty diagnosable problem offensively (chasing at, and missing bad pitches) so I wonder if any progress has been made on that front. He wasn't even so bad at it when he played for the Mets so I have hope he'll find his way out of it.

Even without it though you can argue that his combination of defense and recent pop that he's shown makes him deserve a ticket to the majors.

One would think that the remainder of this season would be a more opportune time to allow Andres to work through any issues as opposed to waiting until 2022. His defense and power are very intriguing, but he's hitting the ball very well of late too. I say get his ass up here, put him at SS, move Amed to 2B and see what happens. It's not like his clock hasn't already started.

Benson king of spurts, good and bad, w 2 HRs last night. Hoping that gets him back on the good spurt side to close the season. Dropped avg from .265 to like .220 before last night. COME ON BUD!

Benson is in a 9-69 stretch. Hoping he gets going after the good game last night.
