6-7 win season?!

Put some money on that ya clown

Yo, fake e-tough guy that literally no one on the entire forum likes.

Read the fucking post again and if that comes across as something I want to wager to you, then I'll know nuance is completely lost on you.

if we have a 6-7 win season with the amount of talent on offense we have, I'd be looking at getting rid of everyone on the defensive coaching side not named Larry Johnson.

Stroud has shown me more in this game to get excited about than last week. Sure, he made some freshman mistakes but I thought his ball placement was much, much better this week. He was able to zip it into some tight areas.
Why does Johnson get a pass? Where is the QB pressure from all these 4-5 stars we have running up and down our DLine?

Team was straight garbage. Dunno about easy loss to watch.

Still think this team wins the Big 10...but it's going to be in spite of the defense, ala 2018.
Nah, very little chance they win the Bi1G, although the in conference level of comp is trash.

So it's an indictment a guy didn't win three straight National Titles?
That is not what I said. Cool.

Good lord. No matter what conference they were in they still had to go through the playoffs to win the National Title. Big 10 has been a pretty shit conference as of late, so I'm not sure that point holds any weight at all.
The ACC is significantly worse than the Big 10.

What coach isn't propped up by high level players? By that line of logic, Saban shouldn't be considered the best coach since he's always playing with the best talent, right?
Again--not the point I made. Lots of coaches aren't propped up by two single players. If Saban weren't both the best coach and best recruiter in the country, then sure we could knock him--but he is both of those things. I'll give Dabo credit for recruiting Trevor Lawrence, but I don't think that's something you can count on and I don't think the rest of his classes are elite enough to earn the sort of respect people want to give him because they think he's an entertaining personality.

Oh, didn't realize you speak for the entire forum. That's cool, considering how I've had plenty of plenty of positive conversations with people on here and even met some in person. Somewhere along the way I rubbed you the wrong way though, because I recall you going as far as wanting me banned before LOL. I called you a clown because saying this OSU team is possibly a 6-7 win team in a clown statement and a huge overreaction. Don't know about me being an internet tough guy but at least I'm not some sad loser like you seeing as how you're glued to this forum 24/7/365. So even IF no one liked me, that's ok. Because I don't need this forum to exist . But you do my guy. Because you have nothing else.

Defense, sure, but offensively it wasn't a bad game aside from some drives that lost momentum. Stroud didn't have a sack or a pick until late in the game, had some great throws & catches. The run game didn't get the traction it needed but it wasn't like we were getting nothing out there. Just a poorly managed game with a struggling defense. We're a horribly unfortunate timeout from OT or even a win.

Stayed in it til about the end, and to me that was far easier to watch than getting creamed by Bama (let alone fuckin' Iowa) or a maddening playoff loss to Clemson.

Yea Stroud.

I hate pinning anything on him because his stats say he was good and he made some good throws and it's his 2nd start.

But we can't just look at it in a vacuum. He has, by far, the best group of WRs in the country to throw too and he missed multiple TDs today. his deep ball is subpar, and that's a problem when we have two guys consistently getting open deep.

We score 45 with Fields today.

I think Day was lucky in the past that he didn't have to adjust down his offense for his QB even though Haskins and Fields were fairly inexperienced. Burrow, Haskins, and Fields were all ready to run the vast majority of what Day wanted to do.

I just think Stroud needs the more typical path to developing a QB with easier reads, screens, and running the option. Just overall being more creative so they aren't reliant on Stroud as much to get the ball into playmakers hands.

College football offenses are constantly evolving. For Day to just run what he has been running for the last 3-4 years with a less developed QB wasn't going to result in enough of an offense.

The question becomes when do you make the move to Ewers? He’s obviously going to be the QB no later than next season and getting him in this year would be good for his experience.

I could see him taking over by midseason if he’s caught up by then.

Lol not this season. Will be a 10-2 year , probably see Quinn next year.
