A 53 man roster is the enemy here, not the spending.

Trading up for JOK was aggressive. The Browns lost the guy they spent money on in free agency to a hamstring. Those are the two who were supposed to earn a high snap count.

Luckily they drafted depth the past three years to get past this problem.

So we have 3 starters and we drafted TWO guys and signed a huge upgrade in Walker not just a JAG.

What more do you want? Injuries happen, we now have 2 of our 3 best LB's injured, we made huge improvements there and its our smallest group with only 3 starters and many times only 1 or 2 LB's on the field in nickel and dime packages.

But congrats, shit post of the day nomination.

Dont forget using a 5th round pick on Fields, and our 3rd round pick from last year who showed allot of promise is hurt too.

They addressed LB pretty well. Just unlucky on the injury front so far.

When your whole lb corps is garbage, yes, more than 3 guys would have made sense. And if you are going to draft a guy the size of a safety to play LB, you probably should have some size to back him up. This team is down to working out Rueben Foster, for gods sake.

Any team that loses three starters at a position is going to be in trouble. Shit happens, and you can only bring in so many new guys in a single off-season.

Walker is absolutely JAG. Good tackler poor everywhere else. Nothing special. We made one improvement. JOK. LB was still the biggest weakness going into the season. If one of your starters is Mack Wilson you have major holes.

Troy fields is one of those LBs. I wouldn’t point to that as anything special.

If Anthony Walker is healthy, we aren't having this conversation.

Go to anyone in the Colts organization, or the Browns organization, and tell them how Anthony Walker is a JAG. Let me know how that hot take turns out for you.

If you have Anthony Walker, Jordan Phillips and JOK to fill two spots, that's pretty solid. We're just missing two starters. Shit happens.
