Cleveland Browns 2021 Regular Season: RIP

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
4-5 years ago I thought linebackers were like running backs - you can draft one in the mid-to-late rounds and they’ll be fine, just plug them in and play. I’ve since learned that I was (and probably still am) a complete dumbass.
That's not true for running backs either.

I'm not sure where he'd fit. Never seemed like a zone runner to me. Split out wide? Felton role?

I know I'd take Hunt over him as the rb2 for this scheme.
I would take Hunt as well over a theoretical Metcalf. He’s excellent at what he does.

Catching passes out of the backfield, split out wide and a handful of runs.

How about Touchdown Tommy Vardell? Or William Green?
See post above. I’d take both of them over Metcalf or Hunt.

The problem with Vardell is that he was just never utilized to his full potential. Look how versatile this guy was. He had a year with 7 touchdowns on only 180 yards from scrimmage. Talk about efficiency from TD Tommy.

And Grossi would have LOVED him.

The biggest problem with Green was that I honestly just don’t remember that much about him.

The music in that video was almost as good as Vardell

Hunt is really good at what he does. He can catch & run with power. Brings a mean streak & intensity. Does it all at a low low price. He's a keeper.

Seems like an fantasy Metcalf would upgrade what the team gets from Demetric & DErnest.

This week has disaster written all over it… OBJ out, Walker out, a couple starting O linemen out… Big favorite…

Is it confirmed multiple OL are out? Yeah, I wouldn't touch that -13 line but still think the Browns win. Just may not be as comfortable as we would've hoped.

The best part of Vardell was that he padded-up just like I did at the time. Of course I was in junior high at the time, but we still rocked the same giant elbow pads.

I can’t say I know fuck-all about contracts. Is Hunt indeed a keeper, as in will he be kept past next year?

I love him, so I hope so. He’s obviously not likely to compete with theoretical Metcalf.

Did you rock the pads bc of Tommy or did Tommy rock them after seeing you score a few TD’s during his touchdown free stretch while he was looking for a good luck charm?

Everyone’s got a story.

The best part of Vardell is that his nickname was Touchdown and he didnt score a single Touchdown in 3 out of the 4 seasons he played for Cleveland and I just love irony.

Should have addressed LB more aggressively in the offseason. More than just drafting one guy and signing a JAG.
