Super Bowl LVI - Ohio vs Odell

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I read this quickly as both Wentz and Reich had sprained ankles… still seemed more likely than Wentz spraining both.

I think this is the last ride on the Wentz Express

Has any QB fell from grace so fast, I cant think of any, but I am sure there has to be others....RG3 I guess.

I think the biggest problem is that Carson Wentz just wasn't as good as some thought he was in the first place. That MVP year was a massive outlier.

Wentz seems like the biggest, but Jameis had a mighty fall as well. He went from like the 7th most passing yards in a season ever to backup in a year or 2.

RG3 like you mentioned. Kinda Bortles. He did have that playoff win against the yinzers and had a 35 touchdown year. Mariota was definitely crowned for a bit there.

And of course cody kessler

Garbage time Bortles was a fantasy goldmine.

And people tried to overlook the injuries coming out of college but that was always a red flag.

The injuries have played a role for sure. The Eagles OL didn’t help him a ton either.

Ultimately, I think the Eagles winning the Super Bowl without Wentz broke him mentally. Philly fans are fucking ruthless, and I’m sure they never let him live that down.

Actually Carson just played like crap after he came back from injury. His beef was with the team not the fans. Agree that he was mentally out of it after BDN won Super Bowl MVP but nobody in Philly believed Foles was the long term answer at QB so the hope was Carson would work out. He was a beast before his 2017 injury and a strong candidate for MVP.
