Even when they were down big he understood what no one else on the team did.
If he didn't shoot it, then someone else, someone worse, was going to. And so he forced shots. And sometimes that's just what you have to do to shake a team loose.
So he took some bad shots because that's what the team needed. Someone to just force some bad shots, as opposed to doing absolutely nothing with the balll for 20 seconds and panicking at the end of the clock.
