The Game (2021) | #2 Ohio State @ #5 TTUN | November 27th, 2021 @ High Noon

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've been an avid Buckeyes fan since the mid-late 70s. This is honestly the softest, pussy-ass defense I've ever seen from this program.

As much as it pains me to say it, Michigan just flat out punched the Buckeyes in the mouth from the very first drive, and the defense just kept saying, "Thank you, sir, may I have another."

Not as bad as the Haskins year. We just scored like 65 that year on Michigan.

But not good enough two years in a row.

If Michigan wins next week, we go to the rose bowl. If Michigan loses we might be in the capital one bowl.

My team went 4-8 with no signs of elevating to the top of their conference after mostly dominating when I went.

To put it mildly, OSU gets by on talent. You can hide scheme when you’re trotting out first round picks. It wouldn’t matter who schemed- elite talent against adversity isn’t a good thing.
I don't think that's entirely fair most years, but that's an accurate assessment of this year's Buckeyes squad.

Ryan Day is normally one of the best in the business at second half adjustments, but he was clearly outmatched today. Gotta tip the cap to Harbaugh for finally getting over the hump.

The new streak starts next November.

And as good as Stroud has been Ewers very well might be the starter.

They can't just hand the job to Stroud because Ewers will transfer almost assuredly considering Strouds age.

So it'll have to be an open competition.
QB doesn't matter when the OLine gets owned like that

Isnt the only outcome Ewers doesn’t xfer is if he has the job?

Stroud can’t afford to transfer.

Right but at least if it's an open competition and Stroud wins it you'll feel OK that you've got the better guy.

Didn’t like the homerism/safe hire of Coombs at the time, think it set the defensive group back big time.

100% need to rectify that this off-season and bring in new blood to coach the defense.

Might be the most apathetic postseason game for OSU in decades, I wouldn’t expect Olave Wilson Garrett etc to play

Tough tough tough loss.

Big Ten streak? Done. B1G champion streak? Done. Michigan streak? Done. National title hopes? Done. Stroud’s Heisman campaign? Done (unless Young eats shit tonight, Stroud wasn’t the problem today). Perfect record against Harbaugh? Damn, that’s even done.

Got thoroughly outplayed by a good team in bad weather. Offensive line really slopped it up. Defense never could manage to get a stop in the run game.

This was still a good OSU team and I suppose we’ll go to the Rose Bowl? I guess all there is left to say is… ON WISCONSIN!

I'd launch him into the sun the minute after the bowl game ends, and strap Barnes to the bottom of the rocket.
Barnes might be fine as a position coach. Promoting him in season and asking him to fix someone else’s defense isn’t really a fair ask.

And I fully expect Michigan to blow it against Wisconsin.

Olave might. Wilson won’t. I don’t know if anyone else is leaving early (woulda said NPF) before today.

I want blood. Barnes must be turned to ash for the new defense to reign supreme.
