Super Bowl LVI - Ohio vs Odell

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Jay Glazer on OBJ wanting to be traded:

"Odell's been trying to go to the Rams for a long time. Even after he got traded to the Browns, I remember talking to him and he's like, 'Dude, you've gotta help me get traded to the Rams.' And I'm like, 'Dude, it doesn't work like that, bro. You can't get traded twice in four days."

I'm sure this will get dismissed as Baker or the team leaking lies to the media though.

Wow, I didn't even know that part. Odell wanted to go play with Goff LOL. That man wanted the Rams bad.

More from Glazer:

"The other teams were courting Odell. Odell wanted to go to L.A. the whole time," Glazer said. "Odell looked at it like who didn't care if he was going to make the league minimum [salary] because he's going to make more money off the field in L.A. than he would on the field somewhere else."

"Originally, he asked for his release when they traded trade him and the said, 'No.' Originally, they said, 'No.' Kevin Stefanski didn't want to trade him," Glazer said. "And then when the video came out and the LeBron tweet and all that -- his silence was deafening there. So they just said, 'OK, we don't want this to become an even bigger issue.'"

OBJ is a diva, like many WR's. It's gonna take one cut from a different mold to want to play in Cleveland.

Starting to think you are OBJ

Some screamed bloody murder at MKC "being a bitch" and making up fake news when she wrote about dissent between Mayfield and Stefanski, now some of those same people are mad at OBJ based on anonymous sources who only spoke on this after he was out the door.

Just doesn't smell right. Can understand Odell voicing his frustration with the offense and time proved that he was likely right.

I don’t know why I’m @‘d … that wasn’t my comment. Anyway, while I’m here… Even if the Glazer report isn’t true, Odell is and always has been a “me” guy. I can see him not liking the offense as opposed to others because it’s more run centric and he’d have to spend time run blocking as opposed to running routes and getting 10+ targets a game. Just kind of speaks volumes he was on a good team with his best friend and still wasn’t happy. Unless you’re a 14 year old kid who likes flashy players he’s just not really that likable as far as pro athletes go but to each their own.

Cool.

I'm sure it gets exhausting ignoring the overwhelming majority of teammates and players who love OBJ and straw manning that only 14-year-old flashy kids find him likeable.

Hell, I'm tired from just watching folks emulate pundits and the third grade level of discourse surrounding cliche like "me" athletes.

Odell literally just said he was from "Me University" during the broadcast for yesterday's game. As far emulating pundits, I don't follow our cities trash reporters, so quite frankly I don't even know what you're talking about. Also, if you read the posts, I'm not ignoring that teammates like him. I said if these teammates are ok with a guy who was supposed to be a key piece just wanting to dip in the middle of a season in which there were championship aspirations just because we're not in LA, than those players are losers. Entitled to that opinion. Sorry for wanting guys on the team who want to be here and want to win over protecting their buddies business interests. Not sure why you're going out of your way to defend OBJ anyway. You were one of the few who weren't happy we traded for him, thought that the Browns gave up too much, and this is back when OBJ was actually considered an elite WR.

This Baker vs OBJ stuff is so silly to me. Baker was absolutely dogshit this season and his future here (and as a starting QB in general) is very much in jeopardy. OBJ is a WR3 living off one catch he made like 10 years ago and never wanted to be here. Couldn't imagine defending either of them right now.

"Him University"

And that isn't him calling himself a "me first" player, an error which is sort of emblematic of all this absolute nonsense people talk themselves into.

Like calling the overwhelming majority of teammates losers because they like him and choose not to place much value in the dumb shit people talk themselves into.

Like I said, the fans and pundits do their little cliche dance, the league and other athletes recognize different. It's not that hard.

If only the fans and pundits were as wise as you. You really have it all figured out. It's honestly a shame you have to share the same space and breathe the same air as the rest of us simple minded idiots. We are truly not worthy.

You don't need to keep swinging at me over your sour grapes.

NFL players are all "losers" for not aligning with your little shtick here, but its me acting holier than thou.... :chuckle:

God damn, hope many times are you going to edit your post lol. I didn't say all NFL players who support Odell are losers. Just the ones allegedly in the Browns locker room that are good with their teammate wanting off the team for his own selfish reasons when they're supposed to be competing with each other in pursuit of a championship.

And yeah, this argument included, you usually act holier than thou. You're arguably the most pretentious, pompous know-it-all asshole on here.

Anyway, I'm done arguing with the guy who thought Josh Rosen was a generational QB prospect.

Has to be exhausting ignoring/discrediting multiple reports dating back to 2020 of OBJ not wanting to be here and his using his dad and friends to push his way out when he didn't get his way. I'm sure some guys do like him. Out of 50+ players, he was bound to make some friendships here. It doesn't change that he quit on the team when adversity hit them.

Reaching that far back to lie about my take on the 2018 QB class speaks more to your inability to justify this shitburger of a take on OBJ. Sounds like a long time of pent up rage...

Nevertheless, watching you piss your pants over anonymous media takes and call actual athletes "losers" for not doing the same makes my point better than going back and forth with you ever could.

I'll leave you to your constant projection...
