Cleveland Guardians Offseason Discussion 2021-22

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The problem is we will have to be much better, and play much better to win those 80 games in 2022. That's because our division is MUCH improved.
I guess I don’t think our division is much improved. I do expect us to play better than we did last year though.

Julio Rodriguez and Kyle Lewis may make Haniger available much sooner than the playing out of the 2022 season.. Damn.. Julio has become a man.. that guy is built like a brick shit house and can really swing the lumber.. Given the reactive nature of the Seattle GM.. and their needs.. a surprising deal could be in the works..

We'll see..
Plesac for Haniger (hoping/ensuring an extension before hand) is a deal I make in a second... But only if an extension is a done-ish deal similar to Olson... Not similar money (for the dolts ready to pounce on semantics) but make the trade and 3 days later Haniger is here until 2026.

Oh and the M's would have to sweeten the deal of course.

Harry Ford, Zach DeLoach, Levi Stout, & Edwin Arroyo.. Select 2 or 3 from this small group.. not all of them as the "sweetener"....

Twins pitching isn't that great, White Sox are going to be the team to beat.

KC and Detroit, while they have made some moves (moreso Detroit), I don't see either of them finishing ahead of us though.

If I had to put legitimate money down as of right now, I'd say it's CHW, MIN, CLE, DET, KC.

He wasn't projected to be in the pros this season so no worries about him being assigned to the minor league camp, but he struggled with the jump to AA... I dont know exactly your baseball knowledge, but usually the jump to AA is the first big hurled for prospects and he didn't do very well. We need to watch him and how he recovers from the 21 season.

I've learned from this place that AA is the big jump and shows who the true prospects are.

What about Carson Tucker? I haven't heard his name in awhile, just curious what the outlook on him is

Tucker only played a few games last season. I know I saw something small on him the other day, but honestly since he really didn't play in 21, I won't know one way or the other... @MadThinker88 do you know?

Basically hasn’t played because injury. Ton of talent but who knows add to that how far away he is. I’ve never seen him play. I feel like I recall seeing a report or tweet he’s looked good in camp or this off-season but not positive.

Basically the same outlook as when we drafted him.

Between the canceled season, and the injury, he hasn’t had the opportunity to show much.

Still, he just turned 20 in January. This year is basically his first professional season.

Every time I hear Carson Tucker, I think of Tucker Carlson.
