My guy, he didn’t even make it to 15 minutes. In what world are those “big minutes”?
The bottom line is that the Cavs, like the Browns, are a lottery team. Regular season is meaningless. Atlanta didn’t try until they had to this year. There isn’t any point in investing time, money, and energy until they are actually in the playoffs.
What was the alternative? Goodwin wasn’t available.Playing Rondo was a colossal failure but JBB couldn’t see it during the game and had predetermined rondo would play big mins.
Compared to Loves mins they were big. Love was huge for us all season and he gets 10? What I meant was big mins in a backup role.
Ok. The Cavs could have used his 25 points tonight though.
I think the evidence is that JBB is just not that smart, and he’s not going to get much better with experience, because he’s not a quick learner. If exposure to NBA basketball was all it took to make a good coach, JBB would be Red Auerbach. But that’s not all it takes. Sooner or later, we will have to find the coach who wins playoff series. But I think it will take a failure next year for Koby and Dan to make a move. Let’s say, about the same kind of season, no real progress. No one should be surprised by this, JB has been outcoached all season long when it’s come to adjustments. Zero adjustments on either end. The way our defense was going to get blitzed either way, Love should have gotten a lot more minutes for his offensive ability. Not going to a Stevens to see if he could offer a spark is terrible. Cedi gets 21 mins Tuesday and none tonight… like make up your damn mind. Watching LeVert struggle as the primary ball handler, he should have pivoted on that immediately. He’s just a bad X’s and O’s coach and he gets exposed over and over
IMO, its like he has no feel for the flow of the game. Slow adjustments, Bad substitutions, terrible offense.I think the evidence is that JBB is just not that smart, and he’s not going to get much better with experience, because he’s not a quick learner. You're trashing one of the few Cavs players who showed up with playoff level intensity and one of the few who stepped up to the challenge... makes me think you don't know much about basketball.I could play hard. I’m trash.
That's what I thought too after Capela didn't return. I thought we would get Mobley and Allen more involved and have Markk out there as much as possible. Anyway, we missed shots at crucial moments in the game and the Hawks made them. ... All in all, a great season for the Cavs. Injuries spoiled their chance to get to the playoffs. Looking forward to seeing Sexton and Wade on board next season. It's more fun to follow a young, talented team than an old talented team. A young team gets better, an old team heads the opposite direction.I wish he entrusted Mobley more offensively.
Mobley, ESPECIALLY after Capela went out, could have put up triple double tonight. He had 5 assists and 18 points and only took 12 shots. He had like the 4th or 5th most "touches" on the team.
We have a dominant superstar to play off of. Thats the good news.
Garland is a perfect offensive partner for him. Better news.
Allen is a great frontcourt partner for him. Even better news.
Markannen is a great roster fit around all 3 of them too.
