Honestly I cant wait for the draft just so we stop having the same fucking discussions over and over and over again. Page after page of the same discussion.

I think the next time i say the Valley of Jalen Williams I should be banned, lmao.

Don't think he has any record of breaking NBA stuff but it keeps getting re-tweeted by reporter types

See some of this shit is goofy.

Just say "the Cavs really like Jalen Williams" and leave it at that.

Because this now makes it seem like he's a lock at 14 and the fact is this dude has no idea who the fuck might be available at 14.

Maybe a dude the Cavs LOVE drops. Maybe Williams gets picked one spot before.

Just get it over with.

That’s what I’m thinking. I don’t think you make a move like so you can draft three second rounders. Looking like a solid bet at this point.

I don't think it's out of the question that they draft 3 2nd round picks. They had a weird spread of picks and they might have realize there is alot of talent to be had in this draft. We might just be looking to load up and bring in 2 two way players and two players on the 15 man roster.

I had this thought too. We spent $1.75mil to get a 2nd round pick, we must have some plan in place for it.
The only plan that makes sense is that they then pool those picks and some cash or a player to the Warriors or OKC for a late first so they can deal 14 this year. Right now they can't make a trade of that because of the Stepien Rule.

I must have been reading your justifications over the years very closely... We are both down on the Ochai/Davis/Branham shooting guard group. I'm also with you on Griffin, Roddy and Champagnie being better than their mocks.

Good stuff!

Maybe I'm confusing you with someone else, but weren't you on a rant against Koby last season for allegedly refusing to invest draft capital in a two-way wing with length? And now you're pushing for another guy not big enough to fill that need?

That is slightly false. They could pick someone at 14 then trade them right after. So needing a late first this year isn't really true.

1. That's me. I want my two way wing this draft.

2. Who am I supposed to be pulling for who isn't big enough? Griffin has been measured at 6'6 or 6'7 in shoes, 7 foot wingspan, and he's one of the youngest guys in the draft.

EDIT - Even if his knee needs work, 14 is a legit spot to take a swing on somebody who lost two years of development but was the best SF in his class.

1a. Branham
1b. Jalen Williams
1c. Agbaji

Age just sticks out to me. Branham just impacts the game, shooting 50% from the field/ 42% from 3, against good competition, and at only 19 (2-3 years younger than the other 2)

Eason before Agbaji, and I am obviously on record as Williams first.

This is the nature of internet forums, haha. You guys have been going around and around for months, hahah. I'll be happy with J. Will.

But then you are stuck waiting until the pick is made to make the deal and if the player the other team wants isn't there, everything falls apart. It's one thing to make those kind of deals with the first couple picks when you have a decent idea who will be there, but by 14 waiting to make a trade to see if a player is there becomes a crapshoot.

So, the Cavs now have #39, #49, and #56. A busy 2nd round ahead of us tonight! Or some light ammo for trades.

3 2nd round picks, something is up right? Maybe trying to move back up for tyty? Who would we want 10 spots higher than our first 2nd round pick?

I dont think you use 2nds to move around the lottery.
